History will present four fun-filled pro-
grams during the holiday season. These
programs are free to members and free
with museum admission to non-mem-
bers. All programs start at 1 p.m. On
Dec. 27 Creature Features comes to
the museum. This "hands on" work-
shop allows folks to meet the aquarium
creatures, including Myrtle the Turtle,
and learn about the plant and animal
specimens from the museum's exten-
sive collection. Dec. 28 will answer the
question What Does an Owl Pellet Tell
Us? Using tweezers and latex gloves
folks will "explore" the owl pellet. What
will they learn about owl behavior? Is
this animal CSI? On Dec. 29 learn How
Therapy Dogs Help Us. Gina Hayes
of Just Dogs will demonstrate with a
therapy dog the special capabilities
and training required to bring joy to
those in institutional settings through
these remarkable animals. On Dec. 30
meet Admont Clark, the author of the
book The Boy Who Saved A Cape Cod
Town. Library volunteers will read from
the book and after the reading audi-
ence members can stay for Q & A and

archaeologist to hold talk
The Cape Cod Museum of Natural
History will host a free program about
Cape Cod History presented by local
historian and author Sally Gunning, and
staff archaeologist and historian Fred
Dunford at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mu-
seum in Brewster. Admission is free. At-
tendees will have the opportunity to ask
questions and have Gunning sign copies
of her latest book, The Widow 's War,
for sale in the gift shop. The museum
is located on Route 6A in Brewster. For

the Ryder Conservation Area/Lowell
Holly Reservation in Sandwich (Forest-

length of all walks is 3 to 4 miles. Cost
