Wixon ensemble to perform On Tuesday evening at 6:30 the Nathaniel H. Wixon Middle School Musical Ensemble, directed by Scott Graf, will perform a selection of holiday favorites at the Dennis Public Library. Celebrate 'Christmas Morning' at night Legendary songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, Harvey Reid and fiddler, singer, songwriter Joyce An- dersen will perform a special holiday concert, featuring classic and origi- nal selections from their recent CD, "Christmas Morning" on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Woods Hole Commu- nity Hall. The show is part of a series offered by the Woods Hole Folk Music Society. Tickets are $10 for mem- bers and $12 for non-members with discounts for seniors and children. A Christmas chorale On Sunday at 9 and 11 a.m. the church choir of the Unitarian Church of Barnstable will present a Christmas Choral Program. The choir will sing carols from foreign lands as well as a few syncopated holiday tunes. Harpist Katie Lynch Koglin will play a Christ- mas prelude and the offertory. The Uni- tarian Church of Barnstable is located on Route 6A in Barnstable Village. Messiah sing! The New Cape Singers, under the direction of Marjorie Bennett Mor- ley, will be joining forces with the Yarmouthport Congregational Church Choir, under the direction of Melodi Southworth, to present the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah. The per- formance will be held tonight at 8 p.m. at the Yarmouthport Congregational Church, 329 Rt. 6A in Yarmouthport. Soloists include Joan Kirchner, Chris Roberts, Tom Crumb. Thorn Dutton, Sue Bauer and Kristin Whyte. Accom- paniment w'i| be provided by James Armstrong on organ and Donald Enos on piano, with Mike Czitrom on cello. Set in the 1940s Midwest, it tells the story of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker 's quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. Osterville Village Christmas Open House & Stroll They've been hosting this party for 37 years, so you can be sure they've got it right! Osterville's homage to the season combines the charm of shops in a seaside village with the reference of an outdoor ecumenical crecne service that brings the whole proceedings to a halt for about half an hour at 6 p.m. This evening in Osterville the stores will be packed with shoppers tak- ing advantage of special offers, the streets thronged with people enjoy- ing outdoor music performances or sampling pizza, chowder, subs, soup, and more. There's much to enjoy during the day, but the heart of the stroll is from 5 to 9 p.m. Main Street and Wianno Avenue are turned into car-free zones, and free hayrides and trolley rides delight all ages. Santa makes an appearance at the Osterville Vil- lage Library. There's an afterglow celebration on Saturday, during the day when out- door music will be presented again and many of the stores will hold open houses and offer specials. Don't forget to stroll down to Arm- strong-Kelley Park to enjoy a festival of lights and other treats, Open house at historical society The Osterville Historical Society has decorated the Captain Parker House on West Bay Road for the holidays, which members will mark with an open house today from 2 to 5 p.m. Andrea McCarthy will play the harp while browsers eye items such as note cards from an original water- color by Ted Bellingrath. It's Enchanted Village time! The Cape Codder Resort & Spa is hosting its Enchanted Village, a display of light and animation, for the fifth consecutive year. Visitors are welcome to take in the sights on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m., and Sundays from 5 until 7 p.m. through Sunday. Carolers from the Barnstable High School Drama Club, dressed in festive attire, will delight crowds with holiday songs and Santa will be on hand to hear children's wishes. Help for teen parents Cape Cod Child Development is currently accepting applications for enrollment in its Teen Parent program, available to parents 19 and younger.
