Osterville's homage to
the season combines the
charm of shops in a seaside
village with the reverence
of an outdoor ecumenical
creche service that brings
the whole proceedings to a
halt for about half an hour
at 6 p.m.
Until then and after then
today, the stores will be
packed with shoppers tak-
ing advantage of special
offers, the streets thronged
with people enjoying out-
door music performances
or sampling pizza, chowder,
subs, soup, and more.
There's much to enjoy
during the day, but the
heart of the stroll is from
5 to 9 tonight. Main Street
and Wianno Avenue are
turned into car-free zones,
and free hayrides and trolley
rides delight all ages. Santa

There's an afterglow cel-
ebration tomorrow during
the day when outdoor music
will be presented again
and many of the stores will
hold open houses and offer
specials.
Don't forget to stroll down
to Armstrong-Kelley Park to
enjoy a festival of lights and
other treats.
