Hyannis FEDERATED CHURCH The custom ot holding the White Gifts Service In conjunction -with the Morning Services on a Sunday prior to Christmas, which was In- augurated last year, will be follow- ed on this Sunday at 9:30 and 11. The Junior Dept. and Junior High Dept. will meet In Baldwin Hall at 9:20 and attend the 9:30 servico in a body. The pre-school children will meet as usual and enter' the church for the Service of White Gifts In the latter part ot "the church service. The Junior Choir will sing. Dr. Carl Fearing Schultz, Minister, will bring an appropri- ate message Tbr The Christmas Season. At 11, the Senior High Dept. will attend church. The Pre-school and Primary Dept. will meet In their rooms as usual and at 11:45 will process to the church for the Service ot White Gifts, with songs by the Departments and a White Gifts Tableaux by members of the Primary Department under the di- rection of Mrs. Kenneth Bearse, and the faculty .of tho two Depart- ments. The Boys' Choir of the Training i School composed of 26 pupils of the 3rd, 4th and $th grades, a project of Miss Edna Lahteine, the teacher who trained them, entertained with chorus numbers and BOIOB . PLAXTON Funeral sorvices were conducted nt the Methodist Church In South Yarmouth December 8 for llev. Willis E. Plaxton, who died at his home here on Miilu Street Decem- ber 5, at 76 years of age. Mr. Plaxton bad told pastorates In Osterville, Marstons Mills , North Harwich , Woods Hole, Fair- haven , New Bedford , South Yar- mouth, and other places In New England. He was a native ot Can- ' ada, but came to the United Stntes | to study at the age of 19, Ho WUH . a graduate of Wesley College In North Dakota, and Boston Univer- sity School of Theology. While in college, he was on the football team and also played soccer. Re- cently he has specialized in raising dahlias. He had all his life been In- terested in horses. Surviving him are his widow , Mrs. Hannah C. (Crowell) Plaxton; a sister , Mrs. Lillian Bell , Toronto; two brothers , Frank Plaxton of Toronto and Clarence Plaxton of LoculB Hill , Canada , and several nieceB and nephews. The Junior Class Is Belling address labels and ball point pens. The Freshman Class sponsored a Christmas dance, under tho super- vision of Mr. Levlnson, last Fri- day, Dec. 9th, in the Barnstable ,High School cafeteria.
