Kids of all ages are invited to Big
Ryan's Tall Tales, a show featur-
ing music, movement, interactive
storytelling, puppets and more at the
Osterville Free Library on Dec. 16 at
10:30 a.m. The library is located at

Marstons Mills story
hours and more
The Marstons Mills Public Library
at 2160 Main St. invites children of
all ages to weekly events. Drop in at
story hour for all ages Tuesdays at 10
a.m. through Dec. 12. Pajama Time
for ages 3 to 7 is Tuesday at 6:30
p.m. when there will be songs and
stories, through Dec. 12. An after-
school program is held Wednesdays
at 4:30 p.m. when grades K-3 enjoy
books and crafts, through Dec. 13.
Hyannis Public Library
The Hyannis Public Library on Main
Street offers programs for the whole
family, from bugs and puppet shows
to knitting and rainy day movies. Call

Whelden Library is
boutique for a day
The Whelden Memorial Library will
hold its annual food sale, silent auc-
tion and holiday boutique tomorrow
from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event will
feature gifts, decorated table trees,
holiday foods, and decorations for
sale, as well as a silent auction. Whel-
den Library is located at 2401 Meet-
inghouse Way in West Barnstable. For

December Art at Brewster
Ladies' Library
The Dec. art show at the Brewster
Ladies' Library features "Recent Works"
by Marion Beck von Peccoz and Alicia
Hammat. Marion recently won first prize
for pastels in the 2006 All Cape Art
Show. Both artists have studied at the
Chatham Creative Arts Center.
Brewster Ladies' Library
Open House
The Brewster Ladies' Library will
host a Holiday Open House tonight at
7, The public is invited to enjoy holiday
decorations throughout the library and
listen to a special concert presented by
the Nauset Regional High School Jazz
Band. Refreshments will be served. On
Saturday Santa will be visiting the Li-
brary at 10 a.m. to read holiday stories
A sing-along with Cathy Weldhaas will
follow at 10:30 and there will be take-
home crafts and refreshments.

story hour at Whelden Library in West
Barnstable Thursday mornings from

Sturgis Library news
Ongoing book sales are Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and

Book sale in Osterville
The Friends of the Osterville Village
Library sponsors a used book sale ev-
ery Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon as
well as the first and third Saturdays of
the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-
school stories and activities for ages 3
to 5 Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.

Story times at the Cotuit Library

Eastham Public Library
The Eastham Public Library has

11 and up the first Tuesday of each
