Sullivan Tire, which has stores

collect new. unwrapped toys from

to needy children in the community
by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve
Toys for Tots program.

Realty Executives
build a building fund
Realty Executives recently re-
vamped its charitable fund. Through
this fund, a portion of all executives'
commissions are donatedto local non-
profit organizations, such as Habitat
for Humanity,that provide opportunities
for lower income families to own their
own homes. Several Realty Executives
participated in building the 50" Habitat
home inMashpee, a home to which the
Executives had donated money.
Edward Jones to hold
tax course
Ralph Swartz , local Edward Jones
investment representative , will host
a "Year-end Tax and Legal Planning
Strategies " professional broadcast
course at 1 p.m. Dec. 13 at 712 Main
St.inHyannis.This program isdesigned
to present the latest topics in tax and
legalplanningincluding new legislation,
cases and rulings of relevance to the
general tax practitioner in preparing
2006 returns andadvisingclients during

chef really cooks
John Ricardo of Plymouth has been
named executive chef at the Wianno
Grille in Hyannis. Ricardo began his
culinary career at several Plymouth
establishments including the Sheraton
Inn of Plymouth and was most recently
theexecutivechef at Grille 16in Hyannis.
He received his degree in culinary arts
at the New England Culinary Institute
in Essex Junction, Vt.

Free Clinic to be
featured in catalog
The Cape Cod Free Clinic &
Health Center has been selected as
a Massachusetts 2006 Catalogue
for Philanthropy charity. The
catalog profiles 45 of Massachusetts '
outstanding environmental , cultural ,
and human service agencies as ex-
amples of excellence in philanthropy.
The clinic was chosen from among
more than 250 organizations.
CC Foundation
awarded grant
The Cape Cod Foundation has been
awarded a $25,000 grant to tap the
potential of older adults on the Cape
and Islands through a new program
called HOPE (Helping Older People
Engage) in the Future. This grant is
part of the first phase of the Atlantic
Philanthropies'Community Experience
Partnership in which 30 US community
foundations have been selected to
receive grants totaling $750,000.
