The Montreal Transcri pt, one of the best papers in
Canada , speaking of Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry ,
June 19, 1849, says :—
We believe it to be generall y recognized as a usetul
medicine by medical men , and we can state with per-
fect truth and sincerity, that, in one case with which we
arc more particular acquainted—that of an old Kcntlc-
m-in at least eighty years of age, residing a few miles
from this city, and who is troubled at times with an
ast h m a t i c a l comp laint , the most decided relict is
obtai ned whenever he makes use of the Balsam— this ,
at the adva nced period of life which he h as_arnycd at ,
may be considered an unanswerable proof of its vir-
turcs. .

[From the Boston Daily Bee.]
From some little experience of our own , we testify]
the superior ity of thc Balsam of Wild Cherry, and we
h«o been repeatedl y assured by quite a number of our
personal friends who have used it with success in pul-
monary comp laints , tho phthsic , asthma , ni ght sweats ,
&c, that'they regard it as one of the most beneiicient
remedial agents of the time.

Messrs.";E. Brinlcy & Co., Boston :—I have sold for
some three years past '-Dr. Corbbtt's Siiakek Con-

as my knowledge extends , thes e med icin es have give n
the largest satisfaction. My wife has taken several bot-

lief and aid in suppressing ari d curing Scrofulous Af- [
feetion, together with Salt Rheum , whic h has trouble d j
her for a lonir time. She has also taken several bottles
of the Fluid Valerian , for Nervousness and Neural gia, j
with equal success. No remedies wo have tried equal- j
