The SDA Church runs the
Bayberry Christian School for
elementary grades. Separate

of each month, a potluck dinner
is offered following the service.
Wednesday night Prayer Meetings

T Joseph Marchio plays the new Mander organ

1 at 7:30 p.m. in a program of Christmas and
Advent music. Guest artists include soprano Sarah

and the West Parish Ringers handbell chorus. A

Santa Lucia Pageant
The youth of First Lutheran Church, 1663
Route 6A in West Barnstable will present the
Scandinavian story of Santa Lucia at 4:30 p.m.

Discussion and mediation
Spirit Journey PhilosophicaJ/metaphysical
discussion and meditation group meets on
Saturdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Winslow

beginners
The Cape Sangha,a Zen Buddhist meditation
group, meets Sundays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at
the Old Schoolhouse on Route 6A in Barnstable
village. All are welcome, and basic instruction
in meditation is offered to beginners.
Zen Center presents weekly
meditation
The Cape Cod Zen Center has weekly
meditation practice at the Unitarian Church of
Barnstable, Barnstable village on Route 6A.
The Tuesday morning group meets at 8 for
meditation in the RE area downstairs. There
is meditation instruction on Fridays at 6:40
p.m. in the library and a Friday Evening Group
meets in the library, behind the sanctuary, at
7 for meditation. There are also retreats, field
trips to the Providence Zen Center and monthly

Christmas Stroll
The home of the county seat may be the most compact
area to offer a stroll - from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 this year
- but a lot of enjoyment is packed into that small stretch
of the Old King's Highway.
Santa will arrive by fire truck and has agreed to sit for
pictures with one and all at the Barnstable Comedy Club. On
your way to pay your respects, you can sample the food and
live music that willbe offered along Route 6A, Take ahayride
if you like, or stop by the Blue Heron Yarn Store, Barnstable
Pottery and Sturgis Library to buy a raffle ticket.
