B00K5- Writers' Center presents authors An ad agency owner turned author, a philosophy professor, a couples therapist, and the founder of a pub- lishing company will talk about their books Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the Hyannis Golf Club on Route 132. It's another Cape Cod Writers' Center "Breakfast with the Authors," and the guests are Jean Stone {Four Steps to the Altar), Dan McCullough {Out of the Cave), Finnbar Corr {Living, Laugh- ing and Loving Thru Marriage), and Webster Bull {A Bad Boy from Beacon Street). Libraries sponsor Toe Jam concert The 15,h Annual Cape-Wide Li- brary Event happens Saturday, Nov. 4 at Cape Cod Community College's Tilden Arts Center, where the Toe Jam Puppet Band will perform. The 1 p.m. concert promises the kind of interac- tive entertainment the band is known for, with lots of singing, dancing and storytelling. Marstons Mills story hours and more The Marstons Mills Public Library at 2160 Main St. invites children of all ages to weekly events. Book sale in Osterville The Friends of the Osterville Village Library sponsors a used book sale ev- ery Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon as well as the first and third Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre- school stories and activities for ages 3 to 5 Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. To pre-register, call 508-428-5757. Barnstable Guyer Barn sets Christmas show Guver Barn, at 250 South St.. will hold its 12,h Annual Christmas Show Nov. 8, 2 to 8 p.m.; Nov. 9, 10 and 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pastels for all seasons "Turn, turn, turn" might be the theme of Carole Chisholm Garvey's new pastel paintings of the changing seasons, appearing in an exhibition and sale at the Cahoon Museum of American Art on Route 28 in Cotuit through Nov. 19. Anne Boucher and Marjo- rie Keary will show original paintings and prints in their fourth annual "Last Picture Show" from Wednesday, Nov. 8 through Monday, Nov. 13. Around the Cape Artful Thursdays at Dennis museum Cape Cod Museum of Art is offering admission by donation all day every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and beginning a new program to deepen appreciation of Cape Cod art and artists with talks at 11 a.m., tours at 2 p.m. and special events on selected Thursday evenings. The talks will be • given by exhibiting curators and artists and the tours by museum docents.
