Among the artists are Liz Hardy, Julie Blanchard, and Florence Green. Falmouth exhibition Members of the Falmouth Art- ists Guild exhibit at Highfield Hall in Falmouth through Oct. 16. An exhibit of marine life works hangs Oct. 17 through Nov. 2. An opening reception tS held Oct. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. Contemporary glass on display The Sandwich Glass Museum holds an exhibit of glasswork by Benton Jones through Nov. 1. Heritage Museums and Gardens The museums and gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sandwich, where the shell work of Evelyn Way Kendall is on exhibit along with "The Automobile Comes to Cape Cod" vignette. Check out the 1899 Winton and the 1908 Sears Surry, the 1904 Curved Dash Olds and others. There's also an exhibit of sea paintings by Charles Robertson Patterson on display through Oct. 30. Yarmouth art show The Yarmouth Art Guild at the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank, Route 6A in Yarmouthport, is featuring art- ists Rose Tedesco, Marjorie Kuhfahl and Joan Shostak. Marianne Walker is exhibiting at the Sovereign Bank, Route 28 in South Yarmouth. Exhibits and more at CCMA Adult studio classes offered at the Cape Cod Museum of Art are still life oil painting, stained glass, bas-relief sculpture, digital photog- raphy, contemporary film , more. Programs offered include multi-media, fairy tale, painting, draw- ing, ocean explorers, masks, collage, face painting, Chinese water brush, finger painting, still life oil painting, cartooning for adults, art history, as- semblage, stained glass, enameling, weaving and more. An exhibit of nature prints by Ernst Haeckel is on display through Nov. 16. Drawing, art history, calligraphy, assemblage, figure drawing and much more offered this fall. Book artist Rosemary Simpkins has created a sculptural bookwork as a memo- rial to the Twin Towers destroyed on 9/11. It is on display through Nov. 5. The Printmakers of Cape Cod exhibit through Dec. 10. In conjunction with the exhibit there will be an exhibit of prints from the last 500 years. Guided tours of the museum Thurs- days at 2 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m. Members' and Artists' reception for the fall exhibitions Oct. 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The museum is located on Route 6A in Dennis. Works from the permanent collection of The Art Students League of New York are on exhibit through Dec. 3. High school students wanting to apply to art schools are invited to attend the third annual Portfolio Day being held Oct. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. when reps from 16 art colleges will be on hand to meet with students to discuss their portfolios and more.
