leyball tournament gets things
started Oct. 7 between noon
and 5 p.m. On Sunday there
will be kids activities, beer
and scotch samplings , a rugby
tournament , car show, Brit-
ish army re-enactment , more

Walrus Gumboot , 60s costume
contest and more between

Hallet House open
The Captain Bangs Hallet House
Museum is located at 11 Strawberry
Lane on Route 6A in Yarmouthport
and is a fully furnished captain's
home complete with maritime
exhibits, costumes, artwork and
more. Guided tours are at 1, 2 and
3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Fall decorations for
sale
During the month of October
the West Yarmouth Congrega-
tional Church hosts daily sales
of pumpkins, gourds, corn
stalks and more from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. when there is also story
telling. Saturdays you can even
pick up a hot dog to munch on.

CCMA
Classes offered to children at
the Cape Cod Museum of Art,
Route 6A in Dennis are drawing
and painting, multi-media adven-
tures, color crafts, sculpture with
found objects, mask and set mak-
ing and more. Adult classes in-
clude assemblage, stained glass,
watercolor, enameling, figure
drawing, contemporary film, to-
tems, balancing energy and more.
Art of Living House Tour Oct. 7

Programs at the Boys
& Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club in
Mashpee is open Monday through
Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. Teen
nights are held every weeknight
from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday night the
clubhouse is open from 6 to 10
p.m. for teens. Additionally, the
club is open every Saturday start-
ing in November as well as during
vacation weeks. Offerings include
Japanese drumming, photog-
raphy, homework tutoring and
help, horseback riding, lacrosse,
a goal-setting program, karate,
basketball, dance, computer,
career prep, healthy living and
much more. A satellite Boys &
Girls Club for grades 7 through 12
is open at Mashpee High School
where there is computer support,
games, tutoring SAT and MCAS
prep and much more available. A
Mad Science program for children
in grades K-6 is held on Mondays
at 4 p.m. through the end of
October when acid, dry ice, laser
light, rockets and more will be

Tribute to the
soldiers
CapeCoddersfor PeaceandJus-
tice and Veterans for Peace Cape
Cod Chapter meet at Coast Guard
Beach at the National Seashore in
Eastham Oct. 14 to memorialize
those who have died in Iraq by
building "Arlington East" when
grave markers will be placed. An
interfaith service is held at noon on
the beach.The evening before,Oct.
13, there will be a public program
with speakers and music at 7:30 at
Nauset High School in Eastham.
