Open houses The Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St. in South Yarmouth, holds an open house to view works by mem- bers Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. All work painting for sale. Autumn art in Chatham The Creative Arts Center, Crowell Road in Chatham, hosts its Colors of Fall exhibition through Oct. 4. Mashpee art programs Mary Richmond holds art classes for ages 12 through 18 at her stu- dio Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m., 27 Fountain St. in Mashpee Commons. Cummings exhibit in Orleans Historical photographs by H.K. Cummings are on display at the Snow Library in Orleans on Route 28 through the end of October. Provincetown Art Association and Museum See the exhibit and tour homes designed by modern architects such as Marcel Breuer and Charles Jencks through Oct. 15 at the museum , 460 Commercial St., Provincetown. Eastham Painters' Guild Members of the Eastham Painters' Guild exhibit their works at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, across from the National Seashore Visitors ' Center in Eastham. The next show is Nov. 24 and 25 at the United Methodist Church on Route 6A. Contemporary glass on display The Sandwich Glass Museum holds an exhibit of glasswork by Benton Jones through Nov. 1. Heritage Museums and Gardens The museums and gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sandwich, where the shell work of Evelyn Way Kendall is on exhibit along with "The Automobile Comes to Cape Cod" vignette. Check out the 1899 Winton and the 1908 Sears Surry, the 1904 Curved Dash Olds and others. There's also an exhibit of sea paintings by Charles Robertson Patterson on display through Oct. 30. A gallery tour follows. Robert Lloyd Webb presents an illustrated program on the life and work of Patterson Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. Exhibits and more at CCMA Adult studio classes offered at the Cape Cod Museum of Art are still life oil painting, stained glass, bas-relief sculpture, digital photog- raphy, contemporary film, more. Book artist Rosemary Simpkins has created a sculptural bookwork as a memo- rial to the Twin Towers destroyed on 9/11. It is on display through Nov. 5. The Printmakers of Cape Cod exhibit Sept. 23 through Dec. 10.
