Schulz's golden-eye will
be reproduced on Mas-
sachusetts ' 2007 water-
fowl stamp and sold for $5
wherever hunting licenses
are sold. Income gener-
ated from the sale of these
stamps is dedicated to the
acquisition and manage-
ment of wetlands critical
to the conservation of
migratory birds throughout
North America. These same
areas provide important
habitat to a host of other
wetland dependent species
of wildlife as well.
MassWildlife 's waterfowl
stamp program, in conjunc-
tion with Ducks Unlimited,
Inc. and other partners, has
raised over $500,000 for con-
servation. The stamps are
required of anyone hunting
waterfowl in Massachusetts
and are also sought by col-
lectors who appreciate the
beauty of the decoys and the
fine reproduction thereof.
All qualifying competi-
tion entries are on display
as the 2007 Massachusetts
Waterfowl Stamp Competi-
tion Art Exhibition at the
Springfield Science Mu-
seum through Oct. 15.

Julian M. Kumin, 92
Canton - Julian M.Kumin, 82, of
Canton, died Sept. 18, 2006, at the
Orchard Cove Nursing Home.
He was the husband of the late
Anita (Hart) Kumin.
Born inMaiden,he was raised and
educated inBrockton. He graduated
from Brockton High School with the
Class of 1930.
He wasemployed asamanufactur-
er'ssalesman by several companies,
including Indera Mills, Carolina
Underwear Company and Keystone
Mills.
Mr. Kumin was a former resident
of Centerville.
He is survived by a son, Max Hart
Kumin of Cummaquid,and abrother,
Howard Kumin of California. He
was the brother of the late Manuel
Kumin.
Lawrence J. Mahoney, 65
Cotuit - Lawrence Joseph Ma-
honey, 65, died Sept. 20, 2006, at
his home.
He was the husband of Regina
(Grant ) Mahoney.
Born in New York City, Mr. Ma-
honey graduated from Xavier High
School in New York City, Fordham
University in the Bronx, and Ford-
ham Law School.
He was a partner in the law firm
Doherty, Ryan, Mahoney & Pel-
legrino.
He vacationed on Cape Cod and
lived there for the past 10years. He
loved the outdoors, fishing, boating
and going to Sampson's Island.
Mr.Mahoney was avolunteer with
the Special Olympics and was once
named volunteer of the year.
Besides his wife, he leaves four
daughters , Maureen Poppick of
Parkland, Fla., Catherine Mahoney
and Margaret Dwyer of Scituate and
Jorgina Mulvey of Norwell; three
sons, Robert Mahoney of Cotuit,
Brian Mahoney of Scituate , and
Thomas Mahoney of Norwell; and
nine grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at
Our Lady of the Assumption Church
in Osterville. BurialwasinMosswood
Cemetery in Cotuit.
Memorial donations may be made
to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape
Cod , 270 Communications Way,
Hyannis, MA 02601.
Cynthia Ann Munday, 68
West Barnstable - Cynthia Ann
(Donahue) Munday,68,died Sept. 18,
2006, at Essex Pavilion in Hyannis.
She was the wife of Walter S.
Munday.
Mrs.Munday was born and raised
in New York. She had degrees in
American and European history and
anthropology.
Anaccomplished choralsinger, she
performed in a recital at Carnegie
Hall as ateenager and later went on
several European concert tours with
her husband, also an accomplished
singer.
In 1997,shemovedto Cape Cod and
owned and operated WestBarnstable
Antiques for nine years.
She loved spending time with
family, friends, and her cat and
greyhound.
Besides her husband , survivors
include astepdaughter, Susan Mun-
day of Saratoga,N.Y; two stepsons;
and a niece.
Burial was in Ballston Spa Village
Cemetery, Ballston Spa, N.Y.
Virginia A. North, 80
Concord,N.H. -VirginiaA. "Ginny"
North, 80, died Sept. 11, 2006, at
Hospice House.
She was the wifeofJohn R. North,
who died in 1989.They were married
in 1976. She was also the wife of the
late Gordon A. Barrett.
Mrs. North was born in Benning-
ton, Vt. She graduated from Ben-
nington High School and Brightlook
Hospital School of Nursing in St.
Johnsbury, Vt.
She began her nursing career at
Putnam Memorial Hospital, where
she worked from 1947 to 1951. She
and her first husband moved in 1951
to Brattleboro,Vt., where shejoined
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital as
a registered nurse in pediatrics.
She later became a nurse with the
town of Brattleboro Visiting Nurse
Association.
In 1965, she moved to New Jersey to
studycarchovasculartrainingatMuhlen-
berg Hospital in Plainfield. She then
moved to southern New Jersey, where
she became supervisor of pediatrics at
Woodbury MemorialHospital.
In 1970Mrs.North returned to Ver-
mont, where she was instrumental
in starting the Home HealthAgency.
She later became its executive di-
rector. She was also involved with
several committees and professional
organizations.
She and her second husband
moved to Columbus, N.C., after
retiring in 1988.After his death, she
moved to Barnstable to be close to
family and friends.
She worked part time for Meals
on Wheels and was active at First
Church of Christ, Sandwich, where
she was a trustee for four years and
achoir member. She also became an
avid square dancer and amember of
the Happy Hoofers Walking Club.
In recent years, she moved to
Concord to be closerto her daughter.
She lived at Horseshoe Pond Place
Housing for Seniors, where she was
an advisory council member, a Con-
gregate Meals Program volunteer
and a driver for her fellow seniors.
Her hobbies included music,walk-
ing, gardening, reading, baking and
preserving jellies and relishes.
Survivors include two daughters,
Susan A. Barrett of Los Angeles and
Ruth B. McDonald of Hopkinton; a
son, Burton A. Barrett of Fairfield,
Calif.;two stepdaughters, SallieHar-
rison of Graham, Wash., and Nancy
J.Tatch of Randolph,N.J.; 11grand-
children; nine great-grandchildren;
agreat-great-grandchild; sixnieces;
and two nephews.
She was also the mother of Betsy
Barrett , who died in 1961.
A memorial service will be held at
10:30a.m.Oct. UinNazarene Church
at 15Staniels Road in Loudon,N.H.,
followed by areception inthe church
hall. A graveside service will be at a
later date at Park Lawn Cemetery
in Bennington, Vt.

Salvatore V. Siciliano, 83
Centerville - Salvatore Vito Si-
ciliano, 83, died Sept. 17, 2006, at
Cape Regency Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Mary Mar-
rocco Siciliano for 62 years.
Mr. Siciliano was born in Fitch-
burg.
He was a private first class in the
MarinesduringWorldWarII,servingas
amarksman.Hefought inGuadalcanal,
BougainvilleandelsewhereintheSouth
Pacific,earningaPurple Heart. Hewas
honorably discharged in 1944.
Known as "Sam the Barber," he
owned barbershops in Cambridge,
Newton and Falmouth. He lived in
Newton for 37 years and Hyannis
for 25 years.He retired in 1993 from
Harry's Barber Shop in Falmouth.
Mr. Siciliano was a member of
AmericanLegionPost440inNewton
and Sons of Italy, Mashpee. He en-
joyed camping and playing cards.
Besides hiswife,survivorsinclude
four sons, Roger and Salvatore
Siciliano, both of Hyannis, Paul
Siciliano of North Carolina and
Eddie Siciliano of Waltham; two
daughters,Margo SicilianoMitrano
of Millvilleand Maria Siciliano Bess
ofEast Sandwich;twobrothers,Leon
Siciliano of Fitchburg and Joseph
Siciliano of Florida; two sisters,
Paloma Moison and Jane Escola,
both of Fitchburg; six grandsons;
five granddaughters; and 18 nieces
and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at
St.FrancisXavierChurchinHyannis,
followed byburialin Massachusetts
National Cemetery in Bourne.
Dorothy F. Sigel, 74
Hyannis - Dorothy F. Sigel, 74,
died Sept. 11, 2006, at the Cape
Winds Nursing Home following a
brief illness.
Ms. Sigel was born and raised in
New York City. She moved to Cape
Cod in 1986, and spent the last six
years at the Cape Winds Nursing
Home in Hyannis.
She is survived by her brother,
William C. Sigel of Harwich, and
many cousins.
A memorial service was held in
First Congregational Church in
Harwich. Donations in her memory
may be made to the Davenport-
Mugar Cancer Center, care of Cape
Cod Hospital, 27 Park St., Hyannis,
MA 02601.
Dudley F. Wade, 88
Scituate - Dudley Freeman Wade,
88, died Sept. 17, 2006, at South
Shore Hospital in Weymouth after
a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late
Marie (Obernesser) Wade.
BorninBoothbay Harbor,Maine,he
was a lifelong resident of Scituate.
He summeredin Centervillebegin-
ning in 1963.
He attended Hebron Academy
High School and graduated from
the University of Virginia in 1942
with a bachelor of arts degree. He
was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi
fraternity and Beta Gamma Sigma
Honor Society.
Mr.Wadeearned master'sdegrees
in business from Wharton School
of Finance and Commerce at the
University of Pennsylvania in 1943
and from Columbia University in
New York City in 1949. In 1951, he
joined State Street Research and
Management Corp. in Boston. He
was elected partner in 1958 and
retired in 1999 at age 80.
He was a lifelong member of First
ParishUnitarianUniversalist Church
in Scituate.
Survivors include a son, Nicholas
Dudley Wade of Portland , Ore.;
and a sister, Constance Mitchell of
Marshfield.
A funeral service was held at First
ParishUnitarianUniversalist Church
in Scituate, followed by burial in
Union Cemetery there.
Memorial donations may be made
to First Parish Unitarian Universal-
ist Church, 330 First Parish Road,
Scituate, MA 02066.
