Fall fair in Dennis Village
The Cape Cod Center for the Arts and the
Dennis-Harwich Lions Club host their annual Au-
tumn Fair on the grounds of the Cape Playhouse,

Heritage Museums & Gardens
A fall foliage trip has been planned for Oct. 1 and
2 to the Shelbume Museum in the Lake Champlain
Valley of Vermont. Another event is slated for Oct. 2
from 9 a.m. to noon when there will be an autumn
garden wreath-making workshop. The Golf tourna-
ment at the Hyannisport Club is held Sept. 27. An
elm bark basket workshop is held Oct. 7 from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. when there is also a celebration of our
trees featuring lectures, workshops, walking tours,
demonstrations by featured artist Alfie Glover, music,
more. Get your engines rolling and head on over to
Corvette Day Sept. 24 when the cars are on parade
and up for awards from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call Heri-

The Captain Bangs Hallet House Museum is

What's up at the CCMA
Classes offered to children at the Cape Cod
Museum of Art, Route 6A in Dennis are draw-
ing and painting, multi-media adventures, color

Programs at the Boys & Girls
Club
The Boys & Girls Club in Mashpee is open Mon-
day through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. Teen nights
start Sept. 25 and are held every weeknight from 6
to 8 p.m. Friday night the clubhouse is open from 6
to 10 p.m. for teens. Additionally, the club is open
every Saturday starting in November as well as
during vacation weeks. Offerings include Japanese
drumming, photography, homework tutoring and
help, horseback riding, lacrosse, a goal-setting
program, karate, basketball, dance, computer, ca-
reer prep, healthy living and much more. A satellite
Boys & Girls Club for grades 7 through 12 is open
at Mashpee High School where there is computer
support, games, tutoring SAT and MCAS prep and
much more available. A Mad Science program for
children in grades K-6 is held on Mondays at 4
p.m. through the end of October when acid, dry
ice, laser light, rockets and more will be studies.

The Callanish School of Celtic Arts leads
beginning lessons in Highland Dance and Scot-

Programs at children's museum
The Cape Cod Children's Museum, 577 Great
Neck Road South in Mashpee, is holding several
classes. Among the offerings is Toddler Time, Pre-

cooking class and more. Me and My Dad event is
held Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. when there will be

The 16th
Annual Harvest Festival is held Sept.
30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Barnstable

garden tours, 4-H activities, tractor pulls, hay

Country fair on the canal
St. Peter's Church on-the-canal presents a
country fair Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. when
there will be food, games, elegant junque, break-

Academy of Performing Arts
Ray Girardin offers his adult acting class for old-
er teens and adults Mondays from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
at the Academy of Performing Arts, 5 Giddiah Hill

Coffee and an open mic
The YMCA of Cape Cod's coffeehouse for
teens at Camp Lyndon in Sandwich will be held
the second and fourth Saturday of each month
from 7 to 9 p.m. Featured activities include an

poetry readings and more. Teens are welcome to
