Senior Center
The senior center hosts free
screenings of plays at the facility,
Route 28 in Hyannis, weekly. Show-

a snack to nibble on. Annapolis, the
story of a poor, ambitious young
man, plays Sept. 15. Eight Below, a
tale of sled dogs in search of their
master, is screened Sept. 18. Bruce
Willis plays a hard-drinking, hard-liv-
ing cop in 16 Blocks, playing Sept.
22.
Films at the college
The free fall foreign film series has
begun at Cape Cod Community Col-
lege in West Barnstable. Show time is
at 3:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall A in the
science building. Earth, the story of
the 1947 independence and subse-
quent division of India, plays Sept.
19. Fire is up on Sept. 26, when the
roles of women in India are the topic.
Movie night under the
stars
Enjoy a blockbuster Sept. 15 when
Zathura plays. Madagascar follows
on Sept. 22. Film time is at 7:30 p.m.
at Heritage Museums & Gardens in
Sandwich. Admission is $4 to $5.
Weekly films and food
The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St.
in Hyannis, has screenings of popular
films every Tuesday evening. Food
and drink samples related to the film
are served on the side at 7 p.m. The
screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Admis-

Benefit concert in
Mashpee
The renewable energy advocacy
group Clean Power Now holds a
benefit concert at the Sons of Italy
Hall, Route 28 in Mashpee, Sept. 23
from 2:30 to 10 p.m. Music by Johnny
Hoy and the Bluefish and The Rock It
Ups. There will be raffles, silent auc-
tion, exhibits, awards, buffet and more.

From sea to shining sea
The first Cape-wide Land & Sea
Harvest is held Sept. 29 through Oct.
1 when there will be special tasting
menus using local ingredients at res-
taurants across the Cape; educational
activities at farms, bogs, wineries and
breweries; a finale farmers market in
Aselton Park in Hyannis, and the 5th
Annual Cape Cod Oyster Festival at
the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. .
Moonlight on Cape Cod
The Moonlighters 16-piece big band
performs Sept. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at
the Sandwich Taverna, Route 130. A
cover charge of $10 is in place. For

Oyez! Returns
An English Patorale is presented
by Oyez! Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. at St.

A Ray of sunshine
Ray Rasicot performs at the Pad-

he will be joined by Mike Crocco on

In a large Braising pan melt butter and cook onions
and celery about 5 mins. Add sherry wine and lobster
stock, reduce by half, add Scallops and cook for 2
min. Add shrimp and cook for 2 more minutes then
add Crab meat. Cook for 2 more minutes.
