Collage exhibit and sale Roberta Hurlburt exhibits her col- lage sculpture through Sept. 16 at the Academy of Performing Arts, 120 Main St. in Orleans, during the run of Rumors. 2006 Cape & Islands Whale Trail The whales of summer have left their pedestals around the Cape in preparation for the Sept. 23 benefit auction. Provincetown Art Association and Museum See the exhibit and tour homes designed by modern architects such as Marcel Breuer and Charles Jencks through Oct. 15 at the museum, 460 Commercial St. Eastham Painters' Guild Members of the Eastham Painters' Guild exhibit their works Sept. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, across from the National Seashore Visitors' Center in Eastham. Contemporary glass on display The Sandwich Glass Museum holds an exhibit of glasswork by Benton ; Jones through Nov. 1. A reception is held Sept. 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Heritage Gardens and Museums The museums and gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sandwich, where the shell work of Evelyn Way Kendall is on exhibit along with "The Automobile Comes to Cape Cod" vignette. Check out the 1899 Winton and the 1908 Sears Surry, the 1904 Curved Dash Olds and others. There's also an exhibit of sea paintings by Charles Robertson Patterson. Minimal clothing, maximum viewing An exhibit of contemporary nude art is held at the Winstanley-Roarke Fine Art Gallery, 601 Main St. in Den- nis, through Sept. 29. Exhibits and more at CCMA As part of the 25 exhibits planned for its 25th year, the Cape Cod Muse- um of Art in Dennis is showing works by Joseph E. Enneking (1881-1942), a well-known regional impressionist landscape painter, represented in major museums. Throughout the year works by Cape teachers Charles Hawthorne, Henry Henche, R. H. Ives Gammell and Hans Hoffman will be on display. Works by their students, such as Hilda Neily, Sal Del Deo, Haynes Ownby, Harry Holl, Arnold Geissbuhler, Varu- jan Boghosian and Robert Douglas Hunter, to name a few, will also be exhibited, all in honor of the 25th an- niversary. Adult studio classes offered are still life oil painting, stained glass, bas-relief sculpture, digital photography, con- temporary film, more. Call for details.
