Mrs. Dora Askowlth of Hyannis
Park will return to New York City
this week end to resume her du-
ties as professor of history at
Hunter College.
Phillip R. Ha-wes plans to leave
Sunday to enter New Hampton
(N. H.) School for Boys.
Vincent B. Keavy will return to
the University of Massachusetts
for his sophomore year this week
end.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Haskell
and family will return to Boston
next week after the summer with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Milan
O'Neil. Mr. Haskell will be a senior
at Tufts Dental School.

The annual election of Willing
Hand Lodge will be included in

Fellows Hall. The 98th anniversary
of the Degree will be observed and
Mrs. Irene Pierce -is chairman of
the entertainment. Hostesses will
be Mrs. Edith Clough and Mrs.
Pierce.
ENGAGEMENT
A late fall wedding has been
planned for Miss Barbara Scudder,
daughter of Mrs. Frederic F.
Scudder. and the late Mr. Scudder,
and Robert G. Sanford, son ot Mr.
nnd Mrs. Edward A. Sanford of
Buzzards Bay, whose engagement
has been announced by Mis. Scud-
der. Miss Scudder is serving as a
technician at Pocasset Sanitorium.
She is a graduate of Barnstable
High School and Wilson School of
Boston. Mr. Sanford Is a graduate
of Bourne High School nnd is an
engineer. He served 3% years with
the Navy In the Pacific as radio-
man.
RAINBOW INSTALLATION
Public Installation of Cape Cod
Assembly, Rainbow for Girls, will
be held nt 7:45 p.m. tomorrow In
Masonic Temple. A business meet-
ing at 5:46 and a supper by the
Rainbow Mothers Club nt 6:15 will
precede the ceremony. The Install-
ing suite will include: Installing

Weymouth Assembly; marshal,

been a patient In Cape Cod Hos-
pital, returned home.
Richard C. Gould , who purchased
land on Gosnold street from Julius
Walley, is building a home there.
Carl M. Drew of Hyannis Port,
a veteran, Is employed in Boston
while working for his Master's
Degree at Boston University where
he received his B.S, Degree in
June.
M.r and Mrs. Joseph Hassett ex-
pected to return today from visit-
ing relatives In Cambridge, Law-
rence and Worcester where they
went by car.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pardlck and
son John, who traveled by car to
Fallon, Nevada , are settled there
permanently. This Is the former
home of Mr. Pardlck. Mrs. Pardick
Is the former Barbara Holmes of
Hyannis.
Mrs. William E. Hopkins went
by car with her brother Henry H.
Doudlcan , Jr., to New Haven,
Conn., where she joined her hus-
band , Captain Hopkins of the S. S.
Kaposia , on a trip to Albany, N. Y.
Gerald A. Slavln will leave next
week to enter Florida Southern
College for which he received a
scholarship upon his graduation
from Barnstable High School in
June.
'V.F.W. AUXILIARY
Gifts of $5 were voted at Tues-
day's meeting to the Polio Fund
and Boy 'Scouts. Proceeds of a
silent auction wore $10. A social
was- planned for Sept. 27th and a
rummage sale set for the 80th.

Council meeting Saturday in Well-
fleet are Mrs. Senno, Mrs. Mac-

Mrs. Katherine O. Sullivan , Mrs.
Angle F. Cox and Mrs. Sadie Fra-
zler. A memorial service was held
for Mrs. Beatrice Brooks.
It was voted to omit socials pre-
viously held on the fourth Tues-
days. Mrs, Isabelle Swansey won
the mystery package.

Swiney Circle will start with a bus-
iness meeting and social at 8 p.m.
Tuesday at the Hyannis Woman's

Mrs. Edward Braddock has re-
turned from Cape Cod Hospital to
the home of her parents, Dr. and
Mrs. Paul P. Henson, with her twins
Theda and Isaac Henson, born at
the hospital September 2.
Other mothers who returned home
are Mrs. William Naylor with her
son born at the hospital , Sept, 3;
Mrs, Reynold Caggiano and her
daughter born there Sept. 4, and
Mrs. Henry Arenovskl and her twin
son and daughter born there on
Sept. 6.
Mrs. Hubert A. Shaw was in
Swampscott this week and repre-
sented the Hyannis Woman 's Club
at the fall meeting of the Federa-
tion and the New England Confer-
ence.
Lewis Warren of Warren-Bulck
and family, "formerly of New York
City, moved today to the former
Pulsifer' house on Estey~ Avenue
after occupying the Mltron house
this summer.

turned from South Thomaston, Me.

George A. Raymond of Wey-
mouth, formerly of Hyannis, em-
ployed as summer manager of the
Center Theatre this summer, will
go home Saturday and will return
to Florida Southern College, Sept.
29, to continue his music studies.
Miss Ann Austin will enter Mid-
dlebury College and will leave for
Vermont Saturday accompanied by
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
S. Austin , by car.
Miss Piiscilla Gaffney will enter
her freshman year at the University
of Massachusetts early next week.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
M. Gaffney, plan to accompany her
there.
Miss Nancy Hinckley, a sopho-
more at Colby College, will report
there Tuesday.

The Graduate Nurses Association
voted at Monday 's meeting to give
$5 each to tne Polio Emergency
Fund, District Nursing Association
and Boy Scouts. Tentative plans
were made for a silent auction and
a rummage sale. Mrs. William D.
Palmer presided for her first meet-
ing.
