LIBRARY
Beginning next Monday, the Hy-
annis Library will change over
from its summer schedule of hours,
according to an announcement
from Miss Gladys Bond, librarian.
It will be open from 1 to 5 p.m.
daily, except Tuesdays and Sun-
days; and from 7 to ft p.m. Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
BAPTIST CHURCH

lieutenant in the Naval Reserve,
arrived at the Naval Air Station .
Quonset Point , R. I., today for two
weeks' active duty as chaplain.
Guest preachers will occupy the

The first annual outing of the
Greek Orthodox Church of Cape
Cod will be Sunday at Camp Far-
ley. The regular Sunday mass will
be from 11 to 12 there. Members of
the parish and their children will
leave the church at 10 a.m. and
bring box lunches. Refreshments
may be obtained at the Cump.

Edward D. Doudlcan of Litch-
field , Conn., formerly of Hyannis

summered at South Hyannis for
three years, will return home next
week. Their summer home there is

and sons are on a week's vacatfon
by auto to Nova Scotia.
Joan Allen, who visited her
grandfather, Frank Norton , Jr., In
Edgartown for three week , Is home.
Miss Edwina' F. Montague, a
graduate of Barnstable High School
and Brldgewater State Teachers
College, has been appointed to
teach science and mathematics in
the former school. She taught in
the same capacity at Oak Bluffs
High School and has been employed
at Oak Bluffs all summer.
F. Bryant Scudder left today for
Macon, Ga., where he will assume
his duties as professor of art at
Wesleyan University. He Is a vet-
eran, is a graduate of Rhode Island
School of Design and was awarded
a diploma by Fountalnbleau Art
College in France.
Mr. and Mrs. William L. Fitzger-
ald have had for visitors his sister,
Mrs. Ellen F. Jenkins of New.
Brunswick , N. J., their niece, Mrs.
Edward Adams and husband of the
same place, and the Misses Joyce
and Ann Lindbom of Qulncy, for-
merly of Hyannis. Mrs. Adams is
the former Mary Hoffman , who
lived with the Fitzgeralds and at-
tended school here .

The annual meeting of St. An-
drew-by-tbe-Sea Episcopal Church
Sunday resulted in the re-election
ot Stephen B, Sheldon of St. Louis
as chairman oC the church commit-
tee, and Miss Sall y Fowler of Bos-
ton , Charles B. Crockett of Ded-
ham, Arthur N. Mllliken of Sims-
bury, Conn., and Randolph Payson
of Hyannis Port , all re-elected to
serve with him.
Mrs. William R. Sinclair of In-
dianapolis, Ind., and Miss Fowler
were re-elected secretary and treas-
urer respectively. Mrs. Kirke L.
Moses of Longmeadow was re-
elected chairman of the flower com-

Robert B. Chamberlain who suf-
fered a cerebral hemorrhage last
week, 1B In a critical condition at
Cape Cod HoBpltal.
The last dance of the season at

by about 150 and the last buffet
supper Sunday by 100.
James B. Darlington plans to
close his home early next week and
return to Indianapolis , Ind.
Mr. and Mrs . George A. Clarke
of Princeton, N, J., plan to return
home next week.
A party in the home of Mr . and
Mrs. Daniel M. Sullivan of Boston,
the Clay Goose, was in honor of the
fifth birthday of their son Thomas.
Each child received a favor and a
gitt. Refreshments included a dec-
orated birthday cake. Mrs. Cedric

RED CROSS
Miss S. Elizabeth Fenno, chair-
man of the Hyannisport group of
Cape Cod Chapter American Red
Cross, has announced that the last
meeting will be at 10 a.m. Wednes-
day in her home. Coffee and des-
sert will be served at noon. Miss
Fenno Is leaving next Thursday for
Rowley with her mother, Mrs. L.
Carteret Fenno, but will return to
close her home.

Port Yacht Club, held Monday eve-
ning in the Hyannisport Club, In-
