A Journey of Spirit at
Cape Cod Synagogue
A Journey of Spirit, an award-
, winning documentary film about
the transformation of liberal Jewish
worship over the last 30 years and
the story of Jewish composer Debbie
{ Friedman's life, will be presented

Cape Cod Synagogue, 145 Winter
St. Hyannis. The film's producer, Ann
Coppel will speak. A wine and cheese

Afternoon
On Sunday Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. the
Yarmouth New Church Preservation
Foundation presents an organ and violin
concert at the Foundation building oppo-
site the Village Common on Route 6A in
Yarmouth Port. The concert will feature
Kurt Glacy playing Baroque music from
European countries on the 1870 Clarke
tracker organ and Audrey Wright, 16-
year-old violinist from Harwich. A wine
and cheese reception will follow at the
Sandyside home of Sally Tufts.Admis-

Sea chanteys with the
Rum Soaked Crooks
The Barnstable Historical Society's
Sea Chantey Fest on Aug. 12 featured
nationally known artists the Rum Soaked
Crooks from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will
be held at the Daniel Davis House on
Route 6A in Barnstable Village, next door
to the Sturgis Library. Admission is $10
and a cash bar will be available, as will
barbecue clams and chowder.
Concert series continues
in Sandwich
Entrain plays an eclectic set of vo-
cals backed up by horns, guitars and
drums Aug. 17 at Heritage Museums
& Gardens at 7:30 p.m. Gates open
at 6:30 p.m. Performances are on the
outdoor concert stage unless there is
rain, in which case performances are
at the Bourne Public High School on
Waterhouse Road. Chairs provided,
