United Way announces
funds available
Sept. 15 is the deadline for non-
profits, municipalities and schools
to order a Request for Proposals
from Cape and Islands United Way.
It's expected $430,000 will be avail-
able in Community Impact Grants
for programs devoted to nurturing
and protecting children and youth,
supporting and sustaining families,
and support for agingandvulnerable
populations.
Awards will likely range from
$5,000 to $50,000. Go to www.uw-
