Grades 4 through 7 are invited to play board games from 4 to 6 p.m. Storytimes at Eastham Public Library The Eastham Public Library has weekly storytime every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for children up to age 5. Cape Cod Art Association The Association, 3480 Route 6A in Barnstable, is offering courses in watercolor painting, oil painting, life drawing, digital photography and more. Casey exhibit at Centerville Library An exhibit of oil-on-canvas paintings by Connie Casey will be on display at the Centerville Library, 585 Main St., through the month on August. What's up at the Cahoon? The Cahoon Museum of American Art, 4676 Route 28 in Cotuit, offers docent tours every Friday at 11 a.m. Classes include Sailor's Valentine, folk painting, watercolor, bird carving, and more. Cahoon paintings reveal their sources "Consider the Source: Influences on Ralph and Martha Cahoon's Early Paintings" is the latest exhibition at the Cahoon Museum on Route 28 in Cotuit. The show runs Aug. 8 through Oct. 1, with an opening reception Aug. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and Bob Schneider will play the piano. The show is the first Cahoon exhibition at the museum in two years. Beads and baubles Learn the art of glass bead making at Leslie B. A group show with Paul Bowen, Danielle Ranalli and Bert Yarborough opens Aug. 11 and runs through Aug. 30 2006 Cape & Islands Whale Trail Check out more than 50 hand-paint- ed whale sculptures located across Cape Cod through Sept. 16. Six feet long, the make-believe mammals will be displayed individually or in pods. Eastham Painters' Guild Members exhibit through Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, across from the National Seashore Visitors ' Center in Eastham. A Midsummer Night exhibition in Dennis Winstanley-Roark Fine Arts, 601 Route 6A in Dennis, opens its Midsum- mer Night exhibition Saturday, running through Aug. 26. Heritage Gardens and Museums The museums and gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sand- wich , where the shell work of Evelyn Way Kendall is on exhibit along with "The Automobile Comes to Cape Cod" vignette. Check out the 1899 Winton and the 1908 Sears Surry, the 1904 Curved Dash Olds and others. There's also an exhibit of sea paintings by Charles Robertson Patterson. Wildlife art on display in Brewster Oil and watercolor paintings by wildlife painter Barry Van Dusen are on display at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Route 6A in Brewster, through Sept. 15. New exhibits and more at CCMA As part of the 25 exhibits planned for its 25th year, the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis is showing works by Joseph E. Enneking (1881- 1942), a well-known regional impres- sionist landscape painter, represented in major museums. A retrospective of works by William Littlefield is on display through Aug. 27. Throughout the year works by Cape teachers Charles Hawthorne, Henry Henche, R. H. Ives Gammell and Hans Hoffman will be on display. Works by their students, such as Hilda Neily, Sal Del Deo, Haynes Ownby, Harry Holl, Arnold Geissbuhler, Varujan Boghosian and Robert Douglas Hunter, to name a few, will also be exhibited, all in honor of the 25th anniversary. Adult studio classes offered are still life oil painting, stained glass, bas- relief sculpture, digital photography, contemporary film, more. Education seminars are held Aug. 4 through 6 and Aug. 18 and 20. Call for details. A feast of red flowers HIGH TECH ART - A cutting edge exhibition of the work of the Collision Collective Isbeing presented at Cape Cod Museum of Art incollaboration with the Highlands Center, Inc. (HCI). The Collision Collective, a group of MIT and Boston area artists, was formed in 2002 to showcase art that incorporates technology.Chris Fitch's TantalusMackerel (Brass, fiberboard, lithotin cans, garolite XX,misc. hardware,54" x 54") is among the works to be displayed, HCI hosts an opening reception for the artists and the public on Aug. 21from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Museum.
