Free movies in Hyannis
The Barnstable Senior Center, Route
28 in Hyannis, has free movie screen-
ings twice a week at 1 p.m. All are in-

a show. Prime, a romantic comedy
involving the doctor/patient relation-
ship, is on the silver screen July 28.
A Louisiana beauty parlor offers more
than fancy hair products in this popular
story of Southern belles and their beaux
when Steel Magnolias plays on July 31.
Weekly films and food
The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St.
in Hyannis, has screenings of popular
films every Tuesday evening. Food
and drink samples related to the film
are served on the side at 7 p.m. The
screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Admis-
sion for the package is $15 or you can
order off the menu.

The Cape Cod Jazz Festival is
holding down the bandstand at the
Wequassett Inn on Pleasant Bay
at the Harwich/Chatham line this
summer. The Aug. 1 entertainment
is with the Roseanna Vitro Quartet
and on Aug. 2 Jerry Bergonzi plays
with the Burce Gertz Quartet. Ricardo
Monzon and Dan Moretti play Aug.
8 and on Aug. 9 the Stan Strickland
Quintet plays. Admission is free with

Beachcomber: tunes at
the edge of the dunes
Beside the sea in Wellfleet there
lies a funk y old rescue station that is
now a restaurant and bar where mu-
sic rings throughout the dunes calling
old and young to dance the night
away. Once again, the Incredible
Casuals return for Sunday afternoon
jams at 4. Admission is $8. Angry
Johnny & the Killbillies play July 28 at
9 pm. ($7) and July 29 The Neigh-
borhoods play with The Dents & the

Arts Center
The John Pizzarelli Quartet offers

Exeter Cathedra l Choir to
perform
Students from the British school
are on tour and will be performing
July 28 at the Church of the Holy
Spirit, 204 Monument Road in Or-
leans. They perform again on July 29
at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Meeting

concerts are at 7:30 p.m. and tickets

Osterville concert series
A series of outdoor concerts will
be held this summer at the Osterville
Free Library at 6:30 p.m. Bring a
