Tuna spotter talks tech
Tim Voorheis of Chatham, a tuna
spotter and photographer, will
speak about the relationship be-

Banknorth gift
TD Banknorth has donated $30,000
to YMCA Cape Cod for its Y Capital-
ize campaign for renovations and
expansion of its West Barnstable

County leads in foreclosures
Barnstable County foreclosure
filings rose by 129.1percent over the
last two years, according to figures
from Foreclosures-Mass Corp. quoted
in The Boston Globe. That is the
highest percentage increase in the
state.

shows

Help fight children's cancer
Cape Cod Blockbuster Video stores
are teaming up this summer with
Burger King restaurants in "A Chance
For Kids"program. When you donate
$1 July 31 through Sept. 5, you will
receive a scratch ticket guaranteed
to win a prize. The program kicks off
Aug. 5 at the Blockbuster store in
Hyannis on Route 132 when there will
be costumed characters, balloons,
face painting, prize wheels, and more
from noon to 8 p.m.
O'Connell receives award

Painting raffle to benefit
Habitat

sponsoring a raffle of a painting by
local artist Julia O'Malley-Keyes
to benefit Habitat for Humanity

Chips company chips in
Cape Cod Potato Chips will be

Tao Gallery artist goes to
New York
Qin Feng, an artist represented by
the Tao Water Gallery in Dennis, will
be part of a brush and ink Chinese art
of writing exhibition this fall at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art. Open-
ing Sept. 2, the exhibit traces the art
for the last 1,600 years.
Cape towns share
wastewater wisdom
The efforts of two Cape Cod towns
to find the most cost-effective and
publicly acceptable sewer designs
was made at ajoint New England/
New York Water Environment As-
sociation conference recently. The
presentation was made by Matthew
Berrelli, Mashpee sewer commis-
sioner; WuTiamRedfield , Chatham
water and sewer department man-
ager; Nathan Weeks, senior associate,
and Russell Kleekamp, engineer, both
of Stearns and Wheler engineering
firm. The presentation documented
the efforts of Mashpee and Chatham
to develop low-cost sewer systems to
collect wastewater and protect the
coastal estuaries.
Raber joins architectural
firm
Christopher W.Raber has joined
the firm of Brown Lindquist Fenu-
cccio & Raber Architects, Inc., of
Yarmouthport as a project architect/
project manager.
The company is preparing to break
ground later this summer on an
8,500-square-foot professional office
building at the corner of Route 6A
and Apache Drive in Yarmouthport.
Bocchino named president
Weston & Sampson's board of
directors elected John A. Bocchino,
Jr., president of services. Established
in 1992, Weston & Sampson Services
provides maintenance, repair, con-
struction and operations of public
and private water, wastewater, storm
water, solid waste and hazardous
waste faculties.
Citizens Bank into the arts
Citizens Bank and the Arts Foun-
