Bearse, GO , widow of Osborne Warren Bearse, died Sunday night at her home in this village. Mrs. Bearse had lived here all her life. She was the daughter of Benjamin F. and Lydla (McCul- lam) Crosby. Mr. Bearse passed away about one year ago. Mrs. Bearse was a member of Cotuit Federated Church. She Is survived by seven children , Mrs. Preston Fish of San Diego, California; Ed- ward G. Bearse of Cotuit; Mrs. Sidney Savage of Hyannis; Miss Louisa Bearse, Cotuit; Mrs. Walter Noyes of St. Petersburg, Florida; Osborne Bearse of Brewster; Mrs. Irving Bearse of Decatur, Ga,, and by grandchildren and great grand- children; three brothers, Benjamin F. WHITCOMB > The services of Franklin L. Whit- I comb, 87, retired president of the ' Griffin Wheel Co. of Chicago were held Wednesday atternoon at his • summer home on Ocean View Ave. i He died early Tuesday morning. Mr. ' Whltcomb was born In Woodstock, ' the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Whitcomb and has been a summer : resident of Cotuit Bince -1890. As a boy, he first came to the Cape at • Falmouth Heights In the 1870's. [ Later he left Woodstock and went ] | out west where he became affiliated with the Santa Fe Railroad. Years later he joined the staff of the 1 . Griffin Wheel Co. of Chicago and ' became president in 1913. He was president of the firm until his re- tirement in 1937. He was a mem- ber of the Chicago Club, the Chi- jago A. A. and the Wianno Club. Survivors Include two sons, Carter P. Whitcomb of Santuit and Pern- berton Whitcomb of New York City ; two grandchildren, Mrs. Stewart Coey of Del Ray, Florida , and Mrs, Patricia Wilcox of Sun Framcisco, and one nephew, Clifton Beal ot Bournedale.
