Robert Miles as regatta chairman. Five races will be held during the weekend. Registration is Friday, Aug. 1, from 8 to 9 p.m. and Aug. 2 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. All sails must have number and skippers meet at 11:45 Saturday in clubhodse.' Races consist of four classes: Sunflsh Singles Adult; Sunflsh Doubles Adult; Sunfish Doubles Juniors; Sailflsh open. First race starts at 12:15 Saturday; second race tit 2 and third at 4. The, fourth race will be run at 11 a.m. Aug. 3 and the final competition takes place at 1 p.m. that day. Trophies will be awarded at the club at 3 with a cocktail party following at 3:30 Sunday after- noon. —-? MOON LANDING OF ESPECIAL INTEREST Steve and Irma Hayes of Cen- terville took especial interest in the moon landing last weekend as they had recently returned from a visit to the volcanic areas in the National Park at Hawaii where astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin visited to learn more about lunar geology. During the Hayes' stay at Vol- cano House, they were told that Killauea volcano would erupt at any moment, but they came back disappointed and had to wait to see it erupt on their home TV set last Thursday. HOSIE AUGER WEDDING Rt. Rev. William D. Thomson of St. Francis Xavier Church, Hy- annis united in marriage June 28 Barbara Jean Hosie, daughter of Mrs. Ronald J. and the late Mr. Hosle of Blantyre Ave., this vil- lage, and Gregory Auger , son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Auger of Hy- annis. David Hosie gave his sister away at the 2 p.m. nuptials. The bride wore a bouffant taffeta floor- length gown designed with sabrina neckline, basque bodice, shirred three-quarter length sleeves and a chapel train. Her veil was held in place with a catch of satin and seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of pink and white sweet- heart roses combined with step- hanotis. Her maid of honor Sandra Thomas of Centerville and the bridesmaids were Joel Parmelee of Edan, N.Y., Barbara Celantano of Hyannis Port, Jill Farrington of Osterville and Wendy Moore of Hyannis. Marc F. Auger of Baltimore, Md. was his brother's best man and the ushers were Peter Auger, Kevin Sullivan and Herbert Mason, all. of Hyannis, Thomas Daubney of Rhode Island, and Melvin Kal- uzny of Maiden. The bride graduated from Barn- stable High School and attends Boston University, She changed into a yellow embroidered organza dress with matching accessories for a honeymoon in New Hamp- shire. Her husband graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston and is a sergeant in the U.S. Army. The couple will reside in New Jersey. BIRTHDAY PARTY Wendy Hayes whose birthday was July 11 and her father, Step- hen, whose birthday was July 14, shared a party given by Mrs. Hayes at their Church Hill home. Among guests was Dr. B. Carson French of Crosby Circle whose wife could not be present because she was in Connecticut caring for her little granddaughter, Laura Lee O'Brien, while the French's daughter was ln the hospital. Also present were the Hayes daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nor m a n Hayes, and her soli - Christian, grandson of the Hayes, and Mrs. Sherrold Bassett of West Barn- stable. Unable to be present was Lt. Norman Hayes who was un- dergoing survival training in the swamps of Georgia during the two weeks that his wife and son were visiting on the Cape. Susan and Chris spent time visit- ing relatives and friends and shared time with the grandparents while making their headquarters with Susan's mother in WesrBarn- stable. Lt. Stephen Hayes, stationed in Hawaii , is on leave for three Weeks during which time he will be "is- land hopping".
