Free movies in Hyannis
The Barnstable Senior Center,
Route 28 in Hyannis, has free movie
screenings twice a week at 1 p.m.
All are invited to bring a lunch to
munch through a show. July 21 the
famous ladies' man Casanova is on
the screen. Rumor Has It plays July
24 when a young fiance questions
her future. Prime, a romantic comedy
involving the doctor/patient relation-
ship, is on the silver screen July 28.
Weekly films and food
The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St.
in Hyannis, has screenings of popular
films every Tuesday evening. Food
and drink samples related to the film
are served on the side at 7 p.m. The
screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Admis-
sion for the package is $15 or you
can order off the menu.

The Wayne from Maine show
visits Heritage Museums & Gardends

interactive musical experience for the

String Quartet at the Lab
The Marine Biological Laboratory
in Woods Hole has invited the Biava
String Quartet to perform July 23 at 7

The Cape Cod Jazz Festival is
holding down the bandstand at the
Wequassett Inn on Pleasant Bay at

The Aug. 1 entertainment is with the
Roseanna Vitro Quartet and on Aug.
2 Jerry Bergonzi plays with the Burce

Beside the sea in Wellfleet there lies
a funky old rescue station that is now
a restaurant and bar where music rings
throughout the dunes calling old and young

Incredible Casuals return for Sunday after-
noon jams at 4. Admission is $8.

The July 25 concert at Aselton
Park in Hyannis features Blu Mulcru
playing some mean jazz at 6 p.m.

The Lighthouse Chamber Music

hosts a high school vocal music camp

Exeter Cathedral Choir to
perform
Students from the British school
are on tour and will be performing
July 28 at the Church of the Holy
Spirit, 204 Monument Road in Or-
leans. They perform again on July 29
at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Meeting
House Road in East Sandwich. Both
concerts are at 7:30 p.m. and tickets

Osterville concert series
A series of outdoor concerts will be
held this summer at the Osterville Free
Library at 6:30 p.m. On July 25 there's
folk and contemporary music when
Roger Turcknell and Davis Bates play.
Bring a picnic and a chair. Raffle and
snacks. The Aug. 1 concert features
bluegrass and original tunes.
Concert series continues
in Sandwich
Entrain plays an eclectic venue of
vocals backed up by horns, guitars
and drums Aug. 17 at Heritage Mu-
seums & Gardens at 7:30 p.m. Gates
open at 6:30 p.m. Performances are on
the outdoor concert stage unless there
is rain, in which case performances
are at the Bourne Public High School
on Waterhouse Road. Chairs provided,
bring blankets and lawn chairs if you

EVENTSCALENDAR I
SALMON SALTATOIN PADELLA
Salmon Fillets:
Season with salt & pepper (4) 8 oz. fillet of wild salmon.
Press panko (bread crumbs) into both sides of the fillets.
Preheat (medium to high) saute' pan, add 1 1/2 oz. blended oil.
When oil is smoking, add fillets , sear one side for 45 seconds,
until crispy brown. Flip fillets and place into a preheated 400°
oven. Cook for 4 minutes to produce medium rare.
Mustard Greens:
Wash and de-stem 1 pound of greens. Saute ' with butter, salt
& pepper.
Tomato Salsa:
Boil 2 qts of water with a pinch of salt. Core and make a
cross with a knife on the back side of 2 golden and 2 red me-
dium to large tomatoes. Boil tomatoes for 20 seconds then im-
mediately transfer into an ice bath. Peel and seed then dice to
1/2 inch. Julian 4 basil leaves, mince one small clove of garlic
and add to diced tomatoes. Add 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
and salt & pepper to taste. Toss.
Presentation:
Plate the salmon fillet from the pan crispy side up onto the
mustard greens and top the fillet with the salsa. At this point
Chef will drizzle the plate with a reduction of aged balsamic
vinegar.Though this last element adds another dimension to
the flavor of the dish, this step can be omitted. The reduction
process has not been offered, as it is quite entailed. However,
one can call for the required steps.
