I have been troubled with soreness in my throat , attended with severe and painful cough. I am now confined to my house in stormy and foggy weather ,cold winds , &c. This tenderness of my thr oat ca me on about th e year 1806 , and has troubl ed me in my private and professional business , so that I have never been free fro m it since. I think my case is a hard one for a trial of your medicine , but I enclose to you one dollar , which I understand is the jirice. Please send me a bottle . If this has a good effect , I shall need to send to yeu again. Yours respectfull y, J. S. PALMER. Lenox, Nov. 13, 1848. J. E. P.iO Hill, Secretary. june 4—3m JEREMIAH KELLEY , Agent. To Owners, Masters and Builders of Slips. WE beg to call your attention to a new article for Shi p's fastening, which we believ e to be greatly superior to any material now used for that purpose— YELLOW METAL BOLTS. Although new in this market , they have been in ac- tive use in all the Eng lish "Ship Yards and Docks fora long period of time. The manufacturers , whose agents wo are, were in- duc ed to make a small quantity last Spring, by the de- s ire of several shi p-builders here to obtai n a samp le of them for their own use. The builders who have tried thVm, are so entirely satisfied with their character and woVh, that the manufacturers have resolved upon mak- ing mem in large quantities and offering them for sale. Benj g firmer than the Copper Bolts, they bear much ImrderVclriving; and their composition prevents the formation of the verdi gris so much comp lained of aa natural to Copper, Their resistance to corrosion caus- es them to wear more uniforml y and longer than Cop- per Bolts , and the y must have the preference over them. Their present price is about twenty per cent, less than Copper. We are now prepared to receive orders for nil sizes an d kinds used in shi p building, and can furnish an ar- ticle as perfect as can be made. We shall he pleased to show youthese Bolts , and re- spectfully ask you to examine them at our Store, No. 79 State-street. WM.
