blankets
The NOAH Center emergency shelter
for adults needs blankets to give away.
New and used ones may be dropped

Kindermusik for children
Preschool music classes for ages 18
months to 4 are ongoing at the South
Congregational Church in Centerville
for $9 a class. Kindergarten-age
children are invited to attend Kinder-
musik Young Child classes Tuesdays
from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church.

CIGSYA activities
The Cape & Islands Gay & Straight
Youth Alliance has a dance room ,
cyber center, library, TV room and
game room as well as several pro-
grams and activities. There are
monthly dances, support meetings for
all family members , movie nights, pot-
luck dinners, tutoring and mentoring.
CIGSYA is located at 56 Barnstable
Road in Hyannis and serves people
22 and under. Circle for Youth meets
from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays at the
club house. Activities include creative
writing, visual art , dance, theater and
more.
Chance to chow down on
chowdah
The 26th Annual WCOD Chowder
Festival is held June 25 at the Cape
Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis. Gates
open at 11 a.m. and stay open till 3
p.m. at the West End rotary. Tickets
are free to $15 at the tent.
Dance programs in West
Barnstable
The Cape Cod Conservatory on
Route 132 in Barnstable is offering
ballet, tap, jazz and belly dancing for
all ages. Admission is $96 to $200, de-

An auction preview party is held
June 23 beginning at 5 p.m. with enter-
tainment at 5:30 p.m. The auction is

the Singing Trooper performs. Don't

The 49th annual Lobster Luncheon
at the Federated Church of Hyannis,

Summer fashion show
and luncheon
Women 's fashions and jewelry will
be presented June 29 at 11:30 a.m. at
the Wianno Club in Osterville. Admis-

the Cape Cod Mall or Mashpee Com-
mons. Proceeds benefit the library.
Osterville summer
celebration
The Osterville Free Library hosts a
fashion show of clothing and acces-
sories June 26 at 2 p.m. on the lawn
when tea is served. Admission is $15

Crafters , artists, musicians , vendors
and others needed for Friday Fiestas
being held July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1 and
Oct. 6 at the library when collectibles,
jewelry, baskets, nautical items, pil-

A silent and live auction takes place
June 23 beginning at 5 p.m. Then on
June 24 there is a papermaking work-

Join Cape Cod Maritime Museum
boat-builders to build a boat in a
master class on small boat building for

Hallet House open for
season
The Captain Bangs Hallet House
Museum is now open for the sea-
son. The museum is located at 11
Strawberry Lane on Route 6A in

captain's home complete with maritime

volunteers from the museum bring to
life the mooncusssers , Indians, Goody
