Compromise on Samba Grill
request
The licensing authority approved a
request from Samba Grill of Brazil at
572 Main St.inHyannisfor an extension
of its live entertainment license to 12:30
a.m. but balked at the proposed 1 a.m.
extension. Manager Miriam Solon won
an OK for a pool table as well, but the
board wouldnot aliowhertoincreasethe
number of entertainersfrom amaximum
of two to seven.
Kettle Ho's a no-go
The Kettle Ho in the center of the vil-
lage of Cotuit wanted to get approval
for live entertainment Monday through
Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m., but may
have opened a can of worms. The es-
tablishment withdrewits request before
Monday's licensing authority hearing,
but not before the town received letters
of complaint about the operation. The
result is a show-cause hearing on the
Kettle Ho's license set for July 3.

The summer schedule is in effect at
the P&B bus line, which means more
