Free movies in Hyannis
The Barnstable Senior Center, Route
28 in Hyannis, has free movie screen-
ings weekly at 1 p.m. All are invited
to bring a lunch to munch through
a show. Proof, the story of a mad
mathematician with a genius for num-
bers, plays June 16 and on June 19
The Legend of Zorro is on the screen
when Antonio Bandaras and Catherine
Zeta-Jones heat up the imagination
with some masked secrets.
Weekly films and food
The Island Merchant , 10 Ocean St.
in Hyannis, has screenings of popular
films every Tuesday evening. Food
and drink samples related to the film
are served on the side at 7 p.m. The
screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Admis-
sion for the package is $15 or you
can order off the menu.

Celtic festival
The Cape Cod Celtic Society
presents its 4th annual Celtic Festival
June 22 through 25. A dinner and
concert at the Orleans Inn on the
cove kicks off events when The
Boston Edge and Shorten the Road
perform . (The Friday night concert
is sold out.) Then on June 24 there
is a cultural fair at Cape Cod Com-
munity College, Route 132 in West
Barnstable when there will be music ,
dance, food and more. A concert with
Beolach and others is on stage at
7:30 p.m. Also on June 24 is a Ceili
featuring the Northeast Ceili Band at
the Irish Village on Route 28 in West
Yarmouth. Brunch is served June 25
at the Irish Village at noon followed
by a concert and Ceili.
Beachcomber rocks on
the dunes
Beside the sea in Wellfleet there
lies a funky old rescue station that is
now a restaurant and bar where mu-
sic rings throughout the dunes calling
old and young to dance the night
away. Once again, the Incredible
Casuals return for Sunday afternoon
jams at 4. Admission is $8.
Audition for the CSO
The Cape Symphony Orchestra
holds auditions for all instruments
June 19 with maestro Royston
Nash. Prepare a movement from a
concerto and orchestral excerpts.

A celebration of the arts and jazz

art exhibit , jewelry, a production of

The Cape Cod Conservatory Jazz

Guyer Barn Gallery &
Arts Center
Guyer Barn Gallery & Arts Cen-
ter, South Street in Hyannis hosts a
week-long retrospective in honor of
the gallery's 20th anniversary June

activities and exhibits for all ages. A

p.m. There are marbeling demonstra-
