& Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club in Mashpee
is open Monday through Friday from
2 to 7 p.m. Teen nights are held each
Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m.

every Saturday as well during vacation
weeks. Offerings include photography,
homework tutoring and help, horse-
back riding, lacrosse, a goal-setting
program , karate, basketball, dance,
computer, career prep, healthy living
and much more. A satellite Boys &
Girls Club for grades 7 through 12 is
open at Mashpee High School where
there is computer support , games,
tutoring SAT and MCAS prep and

museum
The Cape Cod Children's Mu-
seum, 577 Great Neck Road South in

Babysitting, Story and Craft Hour, a
cooking class and more. Puppet show
with Jacek at 11 a.m. on June 12. Story

Rover Dog to the rescue

Foster and adoptive
families needed
Social workers and local foster par-
ents are present the fourth Thursday of
every month from noon to 1 p.m. and
6 to 7 p.m. at the state Department of
Social Services, 32 Commercial St. in
South Yarmouth, to discuss foster par-
enting and adoption. Those interested

Coffee and an open mic
The YMCA of Cape Cod's coffee-
house for teens at Camp Lyndon in
Sandwich will be held the second and
fourth Saturday of each month from 7
to 9 p.m. Featured activities include
an open mike, musicians, dancing, an
art gallery, poetry readings and more.
Teens are welcome to perform or just
hang out. Admission is $2.

the museum is up and running and

expected in about a month.

series
The Cape Wildlife Center hosts
a lecture June 9 when Jana Perry
brings up the subject of orangutans
and primates. Veterinarian Dr. Daniel
discusses chronic wasting disease and
