New faces and places at Mashpee Commons By Kathleen Szmit Manwaring kmanwaring@barnstablepatnot.corr CONTRIBUTED PHOTC SPRING FLING -No matter what you're lookingfor,the shops at Mashpee Commons will have it. Stop by and visit the new shops throughout the Commons including Hot Diggity, Brahmin and Origins. If you haven't been to Mashpee Commons for a while, it's time to take another look. There are a number of new shops awaiting your perusal. At Hot Diggity life has gone to the dogs. Actu- ally, the shop is filled with merchandise that's for the dogs. If you've got a pooch you can't help but pamper, this is the shop for you. Hot Diggity marks the second shop for owner Ni- cole Merriman . who estab- lished herself in Osterville before embarking on her Mashpee Commons adven- ture. Now open at 24 North St., Merriman's shop fea- tures fun and funky items for pups of all kinds. High- class hounds will prefer chew toys from "Sniffany " and "Jimmy Chew," while Ivy League Labs will ap- preciate collars and leashes from Four Preppy Paws. In order to satisfy those canine culinary cravings , Hot Diggity will have a bakery section where their people can purchase tempting treats and even doggy birthday cakes. Hot Diggity will also be hosting birthday parties , training sessions, work- shops and the occasional Yappy Hour. Feline fanatics, fear not. for the Mashpee shop will have a Kitty Corner filled with all things cat includ- ing catnip, treats and the latest in hip cat toys.
