series
The Cape Wildlife Center hosts a
lecture series this spring. Dr. Allen
Rutberg discusses living with wildlife
on May 26 and on June 9 Jana Perry
brings up the subject of orangutans
and primates. Both lectures are held at
the Cape Wildlife Center, 185 Meadow
Lane in West Barnstable, at 7 p.m.
Marine art lecture and
reception
Marine artist John Stobart dis-
cusses his work May 20 at 3 p.m. at
the Sturgis Library, 3090 Main St. in
Barnstable Village. Wine and cheese
reception follows the talk. Tickets at
the door are $20. Proceeds benefit the
library and the Barnstable Historical
Society.
Low-maintenance
landscaping
GreenCape has joined with the Cape
Cod Organic Gardeners and Friends
of the Dennis Public Library to pres-
ent a discussion on low-maintenance
landscaping by experts Jonathan Say,
an organic land care professional, and
Don Bishop, a specialist in organic
lawn and plant care. The talk is May
20 at 10 a.m. at the library, 5 Hall St.
in Dennisport.
Iraq and the common man
George Capaccio will describe
the war in Iraq from the perspective
of common citizens May 20 at the
Wayside Inn in downtown Chatham.
