Asian art exhibit Throughout the month of May the Dennis Public Library, 5 Hall St. in Dennisport , will host an exhibit of Asian art created by Roberta Silbret and others who are exploring Sumi- e art at the Sandwich Community School. Art works on display at retirement community Artists from the Lower Cape Guild of Chatham Painters exhibit their works during Wiay at Mayflower Place Retire- ment Community. 2006 Cape & Islands Whale Trail Check out more than 50 hand-painted whale sculptures located across Cape Cod May 27 through Sept. 16. Six feet long, the make-believe mammals will be displayed individually or in pods. Daniel Springer's landscapes The artist exhibits at the Brewster Ladies' Library, Route 6A, during the month of May. Heritage Gardens and Museums The museums and gardens are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Sand- wich, where the shell work of Evelyn Way Kendall is on exhibit along with "The Automobile Comes to Cape Cod" vignette. Check out the 1899 Winton and the 1908 Sears Surry, the 1904 Curved Dash Olds and others. There's also an exhibit of sea paintings by Charles Robertson Patterson. Open studios and more in Mashpee Thursday and Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon, through spring, the Art For Giving gallery, 27 Fountain St. in Mashpee Commons, will hold open studio time after which there will be a gentle critique. The exhibit runs through May 21. Throughout the year works by Cape teachers Charles Hawthorne, Henry Henche, R. H. Ives Gammell and Hans Hoffman will be on display. Works by their students, such as Hilda Neily, Sal Del Deo, Haynes Ownby, Harry Holl, Arnold Geissbuhler, Varujan Boghosian and Robert Douglas Hunter, to name a few, will also be exhibited, all in honor of the 25th anniversary. Marine art of the Cape and the sea is displayed through June 18. Season 1/4 cup of vegetable oil with salt, black pepper and garlic powder. For just a few sandwichs, purchase your meats and cheeses pre slice or have your local deli slice them fresh. Preheat your Pamni Grillos George Foreman Grill. Ensure the Grill is high and very hot before grilling your panini. Slice your braided roll in half, pour your blended oil and Balsamic Vin on the bottom half of the roll. Lay 3 slices of salami, 3 slices of ham and 2 slices of Prociutto. Then add 1/8 cup tomatoes and 1/8 cup onions. For Red pepper lovers, load it up ! 6-8 strips should do for your average person. Add your pickles and 2 slices of provalone and place the top in place. Generously coat the top and bottom of the roll with whipped butter and place the panini on your grill. Grill until outside has a slight "charred" look and your cheese is melted.
