Marine art lecture and
reception
Marine artist John Stobart dis-
cusses his work May 20 at 3 p.m. at

library and the Barnstable Historical

Low maintenance
landscaping
GreenCAPE has joined with the
Cape Cod Organic Gardeners and
Friends of the Dennis Public Library to
present a discussion on low-mainte-
nance landscaping by experts Jona-
than Say, an organic land care profes-
sional, and Don Bishop, a specialist in
organic lawn and plant care. The talk
is May 20 at 10 a.m. at the library, 5
Hall St. in Dennisport.
To impeach or not to
impeach
A public forum on impeaching the
president and vice president will be
held May 12 at 7 p.m. at Cape Cod
Community College. The free ses-
sion will pit independent candidate for
Congress Peter White (aye) against
columnist Francis Broadhurst (nay),
with columnist and educator Larry
Brown speaking on reasons Democrats
shouldn't call for impeachment at this
time.
Iraq and the common man
George Capaccio will describe
the war in Iraq from the perspective
of common citizens May 20 at the
Wayside Inn in downtown Chatham.
Tickets are $20 for the noon luncheon
meeting, which is sponsored by Cape
Cod chapters of the Fellowship of
Reconciliation and the United Nations

WALKS
Birding Barnstable
Members of the Cape Cod Bird
Club offer several bird walks around
the Cape May 20 and 21. Locallythe
walks will be in Barnstable at Long
Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary at 6:30 p.m.
to look for spring migrants. Another
walk is May 21 at 1 p.m. when bird-
ers will explore Sandy Neck Beach.
