The Anglican

Church

Erev Shabbat Family Worship

Community Church
The 10 a.m. service offers wor-
ship in music, with a children's

One Light
A Center for Spiritual Transfor-
mation: An Interdenominational,

of each month, a potluck dinner
is offered following the service.

Unitarian Church of
Barnstable
The Green Sanctuary Committe
of the church will conduct the
services at 9 and 11 a.m. at the
church on Route 6A in Barnstable
Village. The religious education
program is held at 11 a.m. Child
care is provided. All are welcome
to join the social hour after the
services.
United Methodist
Church
Worship services are held at
57 Pond St. in Osterville at 9 and
10:30 a.m. when communion will
be served. Coffee hour follows.
Nursery care and Sunday school
are offered during both services.

Unity Church of the
Light
All are welcome at the service
at 10 a.m. in the Yarmouth Senior

RELIGIOUS NOTES
Overnights program needs
volunteers
The Overnights of Hospitality Program for the
homeless is lookingfor one or two houses of worship
to welcome homeless women on the second and
fourth Tuesday eveninings of the month. If there
are no volunteers available, use of the space by
other volunteerswould be appreciated.Other needs
includetwo female volunteers to host the women at
the Salvation Army the fourth Sunday of the month,
and one woman to serve as female chaperone at
the Salvation Army on the second Saturday of
the month (program coordinator Alan Burt serves
as the male chaperone). If you can help, send an

Meditation offered for beginners
The Cape Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation
group, meets Sundays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at
the Old Schoolhouse on Route 6A in Barnstable
Village. All are welcome, and basic instruction in
meditation is offered to beginners.
Zen Center presents weekly
meditation
TheCapeCodZenCenter hasweekly meditationprac-
tice at the Unitarian Church of Barnstable, Barnstable
Village on Route 6A. The Tuesday morning group meets
at 8 for meditation in the RE area downstairs. There is
meditation instruction on Fridays at 6:40 p.m. in the
library and a Friday Evening Group meets inthe library,
behind the sanctuary, at 7 for meditation. There are
also retreats, field trips to the Providence Zen Center

Bible studies for women in WB
The West Barnstable Community Center on Route
149 isthe location for a women's Bible study, open to
all women, Wednesday mornings at 10:30. Children
