OBITUARIES
Jack Albury, 70
Hyannis - Jack Albury, 70, died
April 22, 2006, at Harborside Nurs-
ing Home in Mashpee after a long
illness.
He was the husband of Doris M.
(Hinton) Albury.
Mr. Albury attended schools in
Florida. He was an Army veteran,
serving in Germany.
He worked asaclothing presser for
Puritan Clothing Co. He was also a
salesclerk,worked for HyannisPack-
age Store for many years, and was a
cook in Boston for many years.
Mr. Albury was a member of the
Masons and attended Jehovah's
Church. He enjoyed fishing,cooking
and travel, and especially enjoyed
spending time with his grandchil-
dren and great-grandchildren.
Besides hiswife, survivors include
his daughters, Jacqueline Albury of
Hyannis, Joyce Albury of FallRiver,
Portia Ely of Boston, Bonnie Cobb
of Hyannis and Rose Dunlap of
Framingham; a son, Willie Albury
of Marstons Mills; two brothers,
WardellAlbury of Florida and David
Lee Albury of Georgia; two sisters,
Sandra Albury and Eleanor Albury,
both of Florida; 19 grandchildren;
and 14 great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews. He was
also the father of the late Chauncy
Albury.
Burial was at Massachusetts Na-
tional Cemetery in Bourne.
Raymond F. Baker, 89
Osterville - Raymond F. Baker,
89, formerly of Needham, died April
17, 2006.
He was the husband of Louise K.
(Spiers) Baker for 67 years.
Mr.Baker was born and educated
in Buffalo, N.Y.During World War II
he worked for Bell Aircraft , a heli-
copter manufacturer.
After the war he co-owned E.J.
Baker Construction Co., a pioneer
in the installation of guardrails on
interstate roadways.
Mr. Baker enjoyed walking his
dog around Osterville, and he was
known as "Mr. Fixit" for his interest
in tinkering. He also enjoyed social
functions with extended family.
Besides hiswife, survivors include
five children, Diane Baker of Hyan-
nisport , Bruce Baker of Osterville,
Robert Baker of Needham , Mark
Baker ofDennisandDeborah Palmer
ofAtlanta; eight grandchildren; and
eight great-grandchildren.

Bobbi Jo Cadman
Fort Myers , Fla. - Bobbie Jo Cad-
man died April 21, 2006, at her home
after a long illness.
Shewasthe wife of the late George
R. Cadman.
Mrs. Cadman was born in South
Carolina. After her marriage, she
moved to Virginia and then to West
Yarmouth.
In 1976, she and her husband
moved to Florida , where they lived
on their sailboat, Esprit , at the Fort
Myers Yacht Basin. They enjoyed
sailing the local waterways and ex-
ploring the isles of the Bahamas.
In 1983, they returned to Cape
Cod. Shelived inHyannisuntil 2003.
She then made her home in Fort
Myers with her cat Lucinda.
She was active with her bridge
group at Legends Country Club and
enjoyed sewing and craft fairs. She
was an avid fan of the Boston Red
Sox and New England Patriots.
Survivors include three children,
Debra LaSalle and Kristi Decker,
both of Fort Myers, and Sharlee
Smith of Ottawa, Canada; a sister,
Betty Pat Goddard of Purcell, Okla.;
and four grandchildren.
Burial was at sea off Florida.

John G. Campbell, 85
Barnstable - John Gordon Camp-
bell, 85, died April 27, 2006.
He was the husband of Mary
(Betty) E. Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was born in New
Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He was a
graduate of Enfield High School in
Connecticut.
He started his career asatool and
die maker, and then earned a bach-
elor 's in mechanical engineering
from Northeastern University and a
master'sin business administration
from WesternNew England College,
from which he also received an hon-
orary bachelor of arts degree.
He was a Navy veteran of World
War II, and early in his career was
involved in the space program.
He worked for Pratt and Whitney
Aircraft, and duringhis career there
he developed the flow-turn process
that enabled production of the nose
cone for the first satellite, Explorer
I. Later in his career, he was United
Technologies' director of interna-
tional marketing for Africa.
He was a member of the Knights
of Columbus in Enfield , and was a
memberofSt.FrancisXavier Church
in Hyannis.
Besides hiswife, survivorsinclude
two daughters, Ellen Guidry of Pas
Christian,Miss., and Corinne Green
of Kingston; a son, Scott Campbell
of Reading; two sisters, Christine
Jasminski of Enfield , Conn., and
Joan Summers of Vernon, Conn.; a
brother, Collin Campbell of North
Andover; sixgrandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated
at St. Francis Xavier Church in
Hyannis. Burial followed in Mas-
sachusetts National Cemetery in
Bourne.

Donald E. Carter, 80
Centerville - Donald E. Carter, 80,
died April 24,2006, at Cape Heritage
Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
in Sandwich.
He was the husband of Barbara
A. (Whalen) Carter.
Mr. Carter was born and educated
in Attleboro and a 1950 graduate of
Brown University.
After marriage, he and his wife
lived in Plainville for 27 years before
moving to Centerville in 1994.
He served in the Army during
World War II.
He was a civil engineer for West-
cott Construction Co. for 41 years.
He retired as executive vice presi-
dent in 1991.
He was a member of the Asso-
ciation of General Contractors, a
past president of the Lion's Club
in Plainville and did arbitration for
OSHA in Washington.
He loved spending time with his
family, nature, bird-watching and
taking long walks.
Besideshiswife, survivorsinclude
four children,NilesE.CarterofSouth
Attleboro, Valerie L. Thompson of
Centerville, Deborah L. Hughes of
Sandwich and Cheryl A. Rogers of
North Attleboro; seven grandchil-
dren;three great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at
Nickerson-Boume Funeral Home
in Sandwich. Burial followed in
Massachusetts National Cemetery,
Bourne.

Agnes 'Sandy' Driscoll, 80
Cotuit - Agnes "Sandy " Hay
Driscoll,80,died unexpectedly April
18, 2006, at her home.
Shewasthe wifeof the late Robert
Driscoll and previously the wife of
the late Charles Carter.
Mrs. Driscoll was born in Scot-
land. She emigrated with her family
and settled in Osterville in 1927,
was educated in Barnstable public
schools and then majored in mer-
chandising at Mount Ida Junior
College. She worked in banking in
New York City.
She lived in Concord for sev-
eral years, and later returned to
Osterville,where she andher second
husband were proprietors of an art
gallery. She was later employed at
the Shoe Salon in Osterville and at
Puritan Clothing in Hyannis.
She loved animals, had artistic
talents and enjoyed time with her
friends.
Survivors include a daughter,
AlexisThomasofMarstonsMills;two
sisters, Rae Green of Osterville and
Margaret Post of Dallas; a brother,
Alexander Duthie of Corinth,Texas;
and several nieces and nephews.
A private servicewasheld inMoss-
wood Cemetery in Cotuit.
Paul F. Drouin, 68
Hyannis -Paul F.Drouin, 68, died
unexpectedly April 17,2006, at Cape
Cod Hospital.
Mr. Drouin was born in Concord
and raised on Cape Cod. A graduate
of the Realtor Institute, he worked
in the real estate business for more
than 40 years.
He wasactive in several local civic
organizations includingthe Hyannis
Civic Association, where he served
as president and the Cape Cod His-
torical Maritime Museum,where he
was a founding director.
Mr.Drouinwas aboard member of
the HyannisMain Street Waterfront
Historic Commissionand amember
of the Hyannis Revitalization Ac-
tion Group, Hyannis Harbor Action
Group, Hyannis Area Chamber
of Commerce, the Cape Cod and
Islands Board of Realtors and the
Cape Cod and Islands Multiple List-
ing Service.
He enjoyed his toy soldier col-
lection, model cars and antiques,
and collected postcards, especially
ones of Hyannis. He also loved
dogs, rescuing several from the lo-
cal shelters.
For the last severalyears,he loved
to travel and often spent time on the
French Riviera.
Survivors include a son, Paul F.
Drouin Jr. of Melrose; asister,Janet
Jansen of Stuart, Fla.; a grandson;
two nieces; a nephew; and his long-
time companion, Anne Sweeney of
Boston.
A celebration of life was held at
Doane,Beale&AmesFuneralHome
in Hyannis. Burial followed in Oak-
neck Cemetery in Hyannis.

Geoffrey J. Jamiel , 45
South Yarmouth -Geoffrey J. Ja-
miel, 45, died April 23, 2006, at Cape
Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Mr. Jamiel was raised in Warren,
R.I.He graduated from WarrenHigh
School in 1978 and from Johnson &
WalesUniversity,College of Culinary
Arts.
Since 1981, he and his brother
Joseph were co-owners of several
Cape restaurants, including Chris-
tine's Restaurant in West Dennis,
Barnstable Tavern in Barnstable
and Ardeo in South Yarmouthand
Hyannis.
He also served on the board of
directors for the Massachusetts
Kidney Foundation.
Survivors include hismother,Lily
M. (Zacca) Jamiel; four brothers,
Francis J. Jamiel and Douglas J.
Jamiel,both of Warren,R.I.,Nicholas
J.Jamiel of Tampa,Fla., and Joseph
J.Jamielof WestYarmouth;17nieces
and nephews; and a beloved friend,
Ires d'Oliveira of South Yarmouth.
A funeral Mass was celebrated
at St. Pius X Church in South
Yarmouth, followed by burial in St.
Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Warren,
R.I.

and the owner of Leonard Yard and
Tree, a landscaping business.
He loved to ride motorcycles and
spend time with his friends. He was
secretary of Pilgrim Sands Trail
Riders Club and an active member
ofNewEngland TrailRidersAssocia-
tion. He also loved camping, hiking,
gardening,photography and hisdog,
Tickles.He wasalwayswillingto give
a helping hand.
Besides his parents , survivors
include a brother, Jack T. Leonard;
and three nieces.

Richard K. 'Skipper' Mason
Centerville - Richard K. "Skip-
per" Mason died April 21, 2006, at
his home.
He was the husband of Kathleen
L. (Hussey) Mason for 54 years.
Mr.Mason wasborn in Cambridge
and graduated from Boston Latin
High School and the University of
Pennsylvania'sWharton School. He
served inthe ArmyAirForces during
World War II and was discharged
from the Air Force with the rank of
lieutenant.
He was manager of the education
division of Milton Bradley Co. in
Springfield. In 1957 he joined his
father in business at Creative Pho-
tographers in Boston. He retired
from Stein-Mason Studio in 1992.
He was an active member of the
Art Directors Club of Boston, Sales
Executive Club and Professional
Photographers of America.
He raised his family in Hingham,
where he was a communicant and
lector at St. Paul's Church and a
member of Holy Name Society and
Knights of Columbus. He retired to
Centerville.
An avid sailor, he was a member
of Wessagussett Yacht Club, Crow
Point Sailing Club, Bare Cove
Power Squadron and Hingham
Yacht Club.
Besides his wife, survivors in-

Director Linda McNeill-Kemp has been
named Museum Art Educator of the Year

Kelley named youth of the year
Christopher Kelly has been selected as the
2006 Youthof the Yearby the Boys& Girls Club
of Cape Cod. He will be honored at the annual
meeting on May 8 at which time he will also
receive a $1,000 scholarship. Eric Ratzinger
and Jasmine James were nominated as 2006
Youth of the Year finalists. Ratzinger will be
receiving a $500 college scholarship.
