ton, N. H, Friday to attend an as-

sembly and dinner in Hampton
Court Hotel, for parents of students
and alumni of New Hampton School
for Boys.
The Sears' son, Robert , a student
at the school, was a member of the
school Glee Club and of the double-
quartette which entertained the
group during the Dvenlng. The
forum ended with a discussion con-
ducted by administrative officers of
various well-know colleges.
ALLIANCE CIRCLE
COFFEE HOUR
Mrs. Malcolm Crosby, chairman
of Alliance Circle, w.S.C.S., an-
nounces that "coffee hour " will be
held In Community Church vestry,
Wednesday, May 10, at 10 a.m., in-
stead of May 17, as listed in pro-
gram. All women In this and sur-
rounding villages are invited to at-
tend when Lillian Land , beauty
specialist, will present an illus-
trated talk on "Looking Glass Jit-
ters."
At the May 3 meeting of the Alli-
ance, the monthly dessert luncheon
will be held in the church vestry be-
ginning at 1:30 p.m., with Mrs.
Richard Allen serving as hostess.
Final plans for annual Summer Fair
and banquet will be made at tills
meeting and nominating committee
will make their report.
BIRTHDAYS NOTED
Women's Missionary Fellowship
of Ostervllle Baptist Church were
hostesses for a triple birthday party
after Sunday evening worship ser- 1
vice to honor It's minister, the Rev. '
Earl B. Hunt, Mrs. Joseph Magnu-
son and Mrs. Adrian Chadwick, all
of whom were observing their
birthdays within the week.
Paul Chesbro showed colored
slides and with his mother, Mrs.
Ronald Chesbro, commented on
their recent Winter vacation in
Arizona , after which the hostesses
served refreshments.
Highlighting the refreshment
table was a cake made for Rev.
Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wilcox
created this culinary masterpiece,
showing an open Bible placed on a
red-covered "lectern" with the
words "Holy Bible" written in dark
chocolate, and. pages outlined in
gold icing with a red icing "book-
mark" marking the page.
Mrs. Magnuson was presented a
birthday cake and a large basket
of fruit was sent to Mrs. Chadwick,
oldest member of church, who was
unable to be present.
PERSONALS
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Berry and two
children of Burlington , Vt., were
weekend guests of Mr. Berry 's sis-
ter and family, the Robert Green-
woods of First Avenue.
Mrs. Willam Haberer of Swift
i Avenue has returned borne from
Cape Cod Hospital.
! Mrs. Charles Kalas and daugh-
ters, Charlene and Cassle, visited
Mrs. Kalas' mother, Mrs. George
Cowen of East Brewster , recently.
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Carney have
returned to their Oyster Harbors
home after spending the winter In
Florida. Francis Wyman drove
them back to the Cape.
Mr. and Mrs, Francis J. Mc-
Donald of Wlnthrop, were guests of
Mrs. Jessie L. Stringer in her Pond
Street home. Sally Stringer accom-
panied them to Boston, where she
is employed, after spending the
weekend with her mother.
John H. Lyman and son Jeffrey
and Wayne Taylor , all of Winches-
ter, spent several days last week at
the home of Mr. Lyman's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. E. Lester Carroll of
Oak Ridge Road.
Mr. and Mrs. William Jordan nnd
daughters, Susan and Jacqueline of
Northvllle, N. Y., were guests of the
Rev. and Mrs. Earl B. Hunt of
Holllngsworth Road for n few days.
Mrs. Irvln D. Metzger , organist
at Community Church, Is on a six-
week vacation and has left for Sara-
sota, Fla. Enroute she will visit her
son, Dr. James T. Metzger and his
family in Wilmington , Del., and will
speak in Sarnsota late in May, re-
turning here June 6.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith of
North Andover and their daughter ,
Paula of New England Baptist Hos-
pital School of Nursing in Boston,
and her fiance , Raymond Barnes of
Andover , were receut guests of Mrs.
Smith's mother , Mrs. Adrian Chad-
wick of Main Street.
ET3 David Wyman who is serving
on USS Compton, now in drydock at
Boston Navy Yard , visited his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wy-
man, recently,
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. McCarthy
and children have moved from the
Boff house on Tower Hill Road to
former Henry Whlteley house on
First Avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gilford and
son, Richard spent the weekend at
their camp in Tunbridge, Vt.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Patrick Murray of First Avenue,
were, their daughter, Miss Patricia
Murray of New York City and Mrs. !
Murray 's sister and brother-in-law,
Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Thompson of
Greenwich, Conn.

View Circle, were guests of tho
Harry Damons In Winchester when
they attended the wedding of Miss
Carol Damon to Dr. John Wilbur of
New York. The Damon family are
Summer residents of Chatham.
Miss Shirley Lewis and Miss Ann
Sanford have returned from a three-
week vacation In California. They
visited Miss Lewis's brother , John
Lewis and Mrs. Lewis In Oxnard ,
nnd visited with friends in San
Francisco.
J. Harvey Hallett, Br., left
from Boston by Jet flight, to
spend a few weeks in Las Vegas,
Nev., with his daughters, Mr$.
Camilla MacKcnslo and Mrs. Julia
Hadgt and their families. Ho was
accompanied bv his other two
daughters, Mrs. William Jones, Jr.,
of Barnstable and Mrs. Jcannette
Estabrook of Centerville. Tills Is
the first plane flight for Mr. Hallett
who recently observed his 70th
birthday.
Mrs. Joseph Pendrak and chil-
dren, Joey nnd Oail, of Port Chest-
er, N. Y., were at their Summer
home in "Bayfields", West Bay
Road, for the school vacation. Mr
Pendrak Joined them hero for
Easter weekend.
