The Anglican Church of the Good
Shepherd
Worship services are held Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m. A healing ser-
vice is conducted on the second Wednesday of
the month, and a Bible study is held on the third
Wednesday. The church is at the Oakcrest Cove
Retreat Center at 34 Quaker Meetinghouse Road

Cape Cod Synagogue
Shabbat services are the first Friday of the month
at 7 p.m., all other Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Satur-
days at 10:30 a.m. Shabbat dinner is served before
services on the first Friday of the month at 5:45 p.m.

Christ Chapel
Worship services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with
Sunday evening worship at 6. Nursery care is pro-
vided during all services. Sunday school is at 9:45

Coast Chapel
Sunday morning worship is held at 10 in the
Forestdale Elementary School on Route 130 in
Sandwich, where Pastor Joe Goldberg delivers the
message. Sunday school classes for pre-K through
5th graders begin at 10:30 a .m. All are invited to

Corpus Christi
Mass is celebrated at Corpus Christi, 324 Quaker
Meetinghouse Road in East Sandwich, Saturday
at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Call

Cotuit Federated Church
The congregation meets for worship services
and Sunday School at 10 a.m. The Rev. Diane Cu-
sumano, a Presbyterian minister, is interim pastor
of the combined United Church of Christ/United
Methodist church at School and High streets.
Faith Assemblies of God Church
The Rev. Richard Robedee will deliver the morn-
ing message at 11 with music by worship leader
Beverly Robedee. Christian education classes for
all ages begin at 9:45 a.m., and everyone is invited
to an evening of Bible study Wednesdays at 7 at
the church on Bearse's Way in Hyannis. The Part-
ners with Pastor Prayer Time is held Tuesday and
Thursday mornings from 7 to 8:25.
Federated Church of Hyannis
The Rev. Ellen Chahey leads the service at the
church at 10 a.m. The churc h is located on Main
Street in downtown Hyannis.
First Church of Christ, Scientist
The Bible Lesson-Sermon will be delivered at
the 10:30 a.m. service. Sunday school is at the
same time. Nursery care is available for infants
and young children. Testimony meetings are held
every Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the church on
Bearse's Way in Hyannis.
First Lutheran Church
Pastor Johathan Ahnquist leads the Sunday
worship services at 8:15 and 11 a.m. Education
classes at 9:30 a.m. A coffee fellowship follows
each service. Child care is available,and the church
at 1663 Main St. (Route 6A) in West Barnstable is
handicap accessible.
Kollel of Cape Cod
Erev Shabbat Family Worship services are held
at 7 p.m. each month by Kollel of Cape Cod at 150
Flint St. in Marstons Mills. A community Shabbat
dinner is at 6 p.m. Reservations for the dinner are

Marstons Mills Community
Church
Pastor Rev. Robert Swanson leads the 10 a.m.
service when he discusses "The Promise of Re-
newal," from Isiah 40. Sunday school for all ages
is at 9 a.m. Nursey and junior church are provided.

One Light
A Center for Spiritual Transformation: An Inter-
denominational, New Thought Church, created
specifically for those who do not want to align with
any single spiritual tradition. Gatherings are held the
second and fourth Sunday of each month at the

Help with the health care maze
"How to Navigate the Health Care Maze" may be tar-
geted to the "Sandwich Generation," but it will be held
in Buzzards Bay on Main Street in St. Peter's Church-
on-the-Canal April 27 at 7 p.m. Speakers will address
how those caring for children and, at the same time, their
elderly parents (the Sandwich Generation) can cope.
Asthma Support Group
Dr. Paul Sklarew leads an asthma support group
April 26 at 4 p.m. at the Allergy and Asthma Cen-
ter of Cape Cod, 244 Willow St. in Yarmouthport.

Cape care topic for discussion
Dr. Brian O'Malley and Dr.Arthur Bickford discuss
the Cape Care Proposal, which will be on the warrant
at town meeings across the Cape this spring and is
being brought before the Barnstable Town Council
as well. The talk is April 26 at 2 p.m. at the Dennis
Senior Center, Route 134 in South Dennis.
Pain be gone
The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and
Islands in Sandwich presents a chronic pain
reduction seminar April 26 at the hospital when

Grief support groups now forming
The Grief Support Center of Hospice and Pal-
liative Care of Cape Cod has new grief and loss
support groups now being formed. Living Through
Grief begins on April 27 at 10 a.m. and Adult Loss
of a Parent or Adult Sibling begins May 4 at 5 p.m.
Bi-weekly support groups are also available. Call

College opens massage therapy clinic
Cape Cod Community College's massage therapy
program has opened a public clinic staffed by
students. All are welcome for a massage, rang-
ing from neck only to full-body. Walk-in service is
discouraged, so call 508-362-2131, ext. 4346 for

Activities at Yarmouth Senior
Center
On the first and third Mondays of the month at
the Yarmouth Senior Center, 528 Forest Road in
South Yarmouth, a changes and loss support group
will meet at 11 a.m. Also , learn more about sleep
apnea March 1 at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
HIV/AIDS testing, counseling
The Cape Cod Free Clinic & Community Health
Center offers free, confidential testing for HIV/AIDS.
The tests are available at the health center's Falmouth
and Mashpee offices. Appointments are required;

Veterans, take note
The Department of Veterans Affairs is offering
prescription refills over the Internet via the VA's
MyHealtheVet, a personal on-line record system
for veterans that tracks not only prescriptions but

Support at Independence House
Independence House in Hyannis sponsors a
domestic violence support group at the office in
Falmouth Hospital on Mondays at 6:30 p.m.; a
children's empowerment group on Wednesdays at

focus group on Thursdays at the Hyannis office at

nis on Route 134 to take part in the Young at

Free Christian Science talk
Heloisa Rivas, a member of the Christian Sci-
ence Board of Lectureship, discusses how one
may find answers through a spiritual perspective
April 29 at 6 p.m. in Portuguese and at 7:30 p.m.
in English. Both talks are held at the JFK Hyannis

Brown leads healing workshop
After a long journey of suffering and recovery
Michael Brown, author of The Presence Process: A
Healing Journey Into Present Moment Awareness, leads
a workshop April 22 and 23 with one-on-one

Lea-Cox to guest-conduct
On April 21, Peter Lea-Cox will be guest conduc-
tor of Schola Cantorum of Falmouth in a concert

Meditation offered for beginners
The Cape Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation
group, meets Sundays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Old
Schoolhouse on Route 6A in Barnstable Village. All
are welcome, and basic instruction in meditation is
offered to beginners.
Zen Center presents weekly
meditation
The Cape Cod Zen Center has weekly meditation
practice atthe UnitarianChurch of Barnstable, Barnstable
Village on Route 6A. The Tuesday morning group meets
at 8 for meditation in the RE area downstairs. There is
meditation instruction on Fridays at 6:40 p.m. in the
library and a Friday Evening Group meets inthe library,
behind the sanctuary, at 7 for meditation. There are
also retreats, field trips to the Providence Zen Center
