Out Program when children are invited
to swim, play sports, create arts and
crafts and more, each Friday evening

NOAH Center needs
blankets
The NOAH Center emergency shelter
for adults needs blankets to give away.

Items wanted for marine
rummage sale
The Osterville Historical Society
and Museum is seeking donations for
the next marine rummage sale over
Memorial Day weekend in 2006. If
you have something such as water
skis, anchors, oarlocks, fishing rods,
paddles, etc., which you can part with
stop by and make a donation or call

Kindermusik for children
Preschool music classes for ages
18 months to 4 are ongoing at the
South Congregational Church in
Centerville for $9 a class. Kindergar-
ten-age children are invited to attend
Kindermusik Young Child classes
Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at
the church. Admission is $10. Call

Parents with children 18 months
to 6 years-old are invited to attend
Kindermusik Fun Festival Week when
there will be songs, instruments,

CIGSYA activities
The Cape & Islands Gay & Straight
Youth Alliance has a dance room, cy-
ber center, library, TV room and game
room as well as other programs and
activities. There are monthly dances,
movie nights, pot-luck dinners, tutor-
ing and mentoring. CIGSYA is located
at 56 Barnstable Road in Hyannis
and serves people 22 and under.
Circle for Youth meets from 3 to 5:30
p.m. on Mondays at the club house.
Activities include creative writing,
visual art, dance, theater and more.
Dance programs in West
Barnstable
The Cape Cod Conservatory on
Route 132 in Barnstable is offering
ballet, tap, jazz and belly dancing for
all ages. Admission is $96 to $200, de-

Yogilates in Osterville
Cape Cod Pilates, 1336 Main St. in
Osterville, offers a new yogilates class
Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Admission is

Spring planting
A repotting clinic is held every Sun-
day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hyannis
Country Garden, 380 West Main St.

It's pasta night every Thursday be-
tween 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Sons of
Italy, 4996 Falmouth Road in Cotuit. And

The YMCA in West Barnstable is
offering new classes through April
30, including YoPilates, Hatha Yoga,
a healthy lifestyles class, country line

New hours at Maritime
Museum
The Cape Cod Maritime Museum,
135 South Street in Hyannis, is open
Thursday through Saturday from 10
| a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from
noon to 4 p.m. A new exhibit, "For
Those in Peril on the Sea," is on dis-
play as well as the ongoing construc-
tion of a replica of the 1886 Crosby
Catboat, Sarah. Admission is free to
$5.
Poets wanted for contest
The Veterans For Peace is sponsor-
ing a poetry contest to celebrate Peace
Week , April 16 through 22. Poets of all
ages are invited to submit one original
poem on peace of no more than 50
lines no later than April 7 at 5 p.m.
Entries should be sent to Veterans For
Peace, 39 Muskeget Lane, Centerville,
MA 02632. Cash prizes. A reading is
held April 29 at 10 a.m. at South Con-

Lenten fish fry
Free clothing
St. Peter's Church-on-the-Canal
welcomes all to take as much free
clothing for adults and children as
needed April 1 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The church is at 165 Main St. in Buz-
zards Bay.
The American Legion Post 188 at
20 Main St. in Sandwich hosts Firday
night fish fries through April 14. All
are welcome for swordfish tips, clam
chowder, fish and chips, chicken, and
more between 5 and 7 p.m.

An open house will be held Saturday
and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at the
Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old
Main St. in South Yarmouth.
Seaside variety show
Singers, dancers, jugglers and
instrumentalists of all ages will perform
at the Third Annual Seaside Variety
Show May 20 at 2 and 7 p.m. at the
Wixon Middle School Auditorium in
Dennis.

Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sand-
