Round Table meets in
Sandwich
Members of the Cape Cod Civil
War Round Table meet the first and
third Tuesdays of the month year-
round to present informal talks, give
book reports and share stories about
visits to Civil War sites. Gatherings
take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Riverview School on Route 6A in
Sandwich.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and

Don't delay in getting your ticket for
the annual Daffodil Tea of St. Mary's
Church on Route 6A in Barnstable Vil-
lage. The indoor English tea features
sandwiches, scones and sweets, and
time to stroll in the beautiful gardens
behind the church. Seatings are at
12:30, 2 and 3:15 p.m. Tickets are
$14, and reservations are required by

Configuration to dance at
4Cs "
Dance as sport , a "Madame Bovary
Pas de Deux," and the premiere of a
dance set to the music of Radiohead
make for a diverse evening with the
Cape's Configuration dance company
April 5 at 8 p.m. at Cape Cod Com-

Poems as lovely as a tree
Cordwood Kids and Cotuit Center for
the Arts invite all to submit poems about
trees and woodlands to a PoeTREE con-
test and help save 23 acres of woodland
in Cotuit. Poems must be received by
June 1 for the June 24 reading. Send

Spaghetti time in West
Barnstable
The West Barnstable Spaghetti
Supper will be held April 8 from 5 to
8 p.m. at the fire station on Route
149, with shuttle service from the
community building. If you need
a ride, call the fire station the day
of the supper at 508-362-3241 .
The meal is a benefit for the West
Barnstable Village Festival. Tickets
are $8 for adults and $4 for children.
