I found the lecture room door unlocked , but bolt-

tolil Dr. Webster that Mr. Blake wanted to see him .
Dr. W. was standing by the table in his lecture
room ; lie hesitated Ti little , bu t told me to show him
in; I d;> not know how long Mr. Blak e,stayed. About
12 o'clock I saw Mr. Kingsley, Dr. Parkinan 's agent ,

ctyii'S they wanted to look abo ut the College , as
tlicv could no t trace Dr. Parkman any fur ther than
here. I told them I would sho w them all about the
Wldinz where, I had been myself.
Dr. Holmes came up about this time , and said ,
"You do n't want us to haul our subje cts till over , do
you?" Kingslev said they onl y wanted to look about
and see if the Doctor hadn 't stowed himself away in
some of the nlties. Dr. Holmes told me to show them
all about. Mr. Kingsley spoke of looking in Prof.

Tuesd ay morning, I could not get in to any of Dr
Webster 's rooms except the lecture room , which I
entered about half past 9 o'clock. Found Dr Web-
ster there with a smoking cap on his head and a pair
of overalls on ; he appeared to be busy about hi s ta-

in his furnace : he said no—th at the thin gs connect-

Alter this I left the room and went to the front
entry . Saw officers Cl app, Fuller , and Kiee, and
Mr Ki ngsley, coming tow ard the College. They

H search nil around here , and if they begun with the
College, the people of the nei ghborhood could have
no ohj ection to have their houses searched. I told

Or Jacob Bi gel ow came along and we all went in-

This preparation is no Compound ! It is a more ex-

Mess rs. Edward Rkinley & Co. —
Kind Friends : M y age will be an apology, I hope,
for troubling you with a statement of the benefits I have
derived from the Fluid Valerian so kindl y scu t me l>y
you. For a long time, through inc reasing years, my
health has failed me, and a dropsical affec tion seemed
to settle on my Lungs, dep riving me at ni gh t of inv
proper rest. Obtaining no relief I tried the ' Valerian
you sent me, although I had used Smith & Perry 's with
hi.rdl y any benefit. To my great comfort I soon found
that what you sent me produced the most quiet and
tranquil sleep, sparing me from all distress, and mak-
ing my waking clear and refreshing.
I therefore feel that this medicine will be the great
comfort ol my declining yea rs ; and I trust that per-
sons who by age are deprived of natural rest , or are suf-
fering under ner vous affections will try this medicine ,
and I am satisfied they will find it such a blessing as
never to bc without it by their bedside , or in their sick
chamber,;or recommending it to their friends , who may
suffer by sleeplessness and waking ni ghts.
