Elaine S. Bouvier, 62
Hyannis -Elaine S. (Evangelous)
Bouvier, 62, a Cape Cod resident
for the past 14 years and former
Marlborough resident , died March
15, 2006 , at her home after a long
illness with cancer.
She was the wife of Noel R. Bou-
vier Sr. for 43 years.
Mrs. Bouvier graduated from
Marlborough High School in 1961
and Leo BeautyAcademy inWorces-
ter.
She owned and operated her
own beauty salon, Elaine's Sheer
Madness, for severalyears, and also
worked in other positions.
Besides her husband, survivors
include four children , Monique
Grasso of Marlborough , Danielle
Bouvier Cousler of Wilmington,
N.C., Kristen Bouvier Scoville of
Geneseo, N.Y., and Noel Bouvier
Jr. of Brookline, N.H.; six brothers,
Phillipe Evangelous of Yarmouth,
Theodore Evangelous of Hudson
and Thomas Evangelous , Jack
Evangelous, Mark Evangelous and
Matthew Evangelous, all of Marl-
borough; four grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church
in Hyannis. Burial will be at a later
date.

Helen Dalby, 54
Centerville - Helen (Hargadon)
Dalby, 54, died March 11, 2006, at
Massachusetts General Hospital
in Boston. She had pancreatic
cancer.
She was the wife of Alan Dalby
for 22 years.
Mrs. Dalby was born in India-
napolis. She graduated summa cum
laude from the University of Virginia
in 1974.
She worked for 10 years in Wash-
ington, D.C., where shewas alobbyist
for the pharmaceutical industry.
Mrs. Dalby and her husband
bought a home in West Hyannisport
in 1985 and then built a home in
Centerville in 1999.
She was an avid traveler through-
out her life. At 17 she spent three
months working on a mission in
Central Africa, and during college
she studied for six months in Flor-
ence, Italy.
For the past 20 years she had been
a travel consultant, specializing in
travel to Italy.
She was an expert chef, and was
also an avid golfer and tennis player
and an active member of the Hyan-
nisport Club.
Involved in the community, she
served on the board of Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Cape Cod. She had
earlier served on the board of the
Celebrity Series of Boston.
A funeral was held at South Con-
gregational Church in Centerville.

Ronald G. Deitke, 69
Hyannis - Ronald G. Deitke , 69,
died March 11, 2006 , at his home.
He was the husband of Paula
(Henrique ) Deitke.
Mr. Deitke was born and edu-
cated in Johnstown, Pa. He en-
listed in the Air Force in 1956
and served in Okinawa . Japan ,
before being transferred to the
North Truro Air Station , where he
worked on the radar system.
He also worked part time for the
A&P Co. in Provincetown, where
he lived until moving to Hyannis in
1962. He had most recently worked
as the produce manager at Stop &
Shop in Dennis, retiring in 2000.
Besides hiswife, survivorsinclude
his children, Paul Deitke of Ocean
Springs,Miss., Donna Perryof Sum-
merville, S.C., and Jeffrey Deitke of
Hyannis;two brothers,Thomas and
Charles Deitke, both of Johnstown;
four sisters, Grace Davis ofArizona,
Marion Cockrell of Georgia, Bar-
bara Varner of Pennsylvania and
Connie Robert s of Ohio; and nine
grandchildren.
Services were at the Massa-
chusetts National Cemetery in
Bourne.

Leo W. Gregoire , 85
Mashpee - Leo W Gregoire, 85,
died March 17, 2006, at his home
after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Yvette T.
(Chicoine) Gregoire for 61 years.
Mr. Gregoire was born in Belling-
ham and raised in Woonsocket , R.I.
He moved to Cape Cod in 1949. A
veteran of the Navy Seabees dur-
ing World War II, he was a mason
contractor by trade for most of his
life. In his later years, he held the
position of caretaker at an Oyster
Harbors estate, retiring in 1991.
Besides hiswife,survivorsinclude
his children, Clarice G. Tully of
Sandwich, Frank G. Gregoire of
Yarmouthport, Leo C. Gregoire of
Cummaquid, Marc R. Gregoire of
Mashpee and David G. Gregoire
of Plymouth; a brother, Robert A.
Gregoire of Centerville; 16 grand-
children; and 11 great-grandchil-
dren. He was the father of the late
Suzanne C. Shaughnessy.
A funeral Mass was celebrated
in Our Lady of Victory Church in
Centerville.

John W. Hagstrom, 83
Centerville - John W. Hagstrom,
83, died March 10, 2006, in Boston.
He was the husband of Jane R.
Kimball since 1992. He was also
the husband of Elaine, who died
in 1991.
Mr. Hagstrom was born in Paw-
tucket , R.I., and raised in Hartford,
Conn. He was educated in Hartford
and West Hartford , Conn., and
graduated from Worcester Poly-
technic Institute in 1944.
He served in the Navy during
World War II. He retired to Cape
• Cod in 1978.
Mr. Hagstrom was a member
of the Elks Lodge, Cummaquid
Golf Club, Beach Club, Osterville
Men's Club and Loyal Order of the
Moose. He was also secretary of
Rendezvous Lane Association, an
AmericanRed Cross board member
and on the endowment committee
of St. Mary's Church.
He was an avid golfer and bowler.
He enjoyed hisgarden and his wife's
music.
Besides his wife,survivorsinclude
two daughters, Wendy Furniss of
West Hartford , Conn., and Cathy
Hagstrom of Newington , Conn.;
and a granddaughter.

Osterville - Elizabeth Hart Jones,
91, died March 14, 2006, at Law-
rence's Memorial Hospital.
Shewasthe wife of the late James
A. Jones Jr. They were married for
54 years.
Mrs. Jones was born in Waltham
and attended St.CharlesBorromeo
School, where she played basket-
ball and became the city tennis
champion.
During World War II, she worked
with the "yellow birds" of North-
east Airlines in support of the war
effort.
She and her husband lived in
Coral Gables, Fla., Scituate, Mid-
land , Mich., Williamsburg, Va.,
and Old Greenwich, Conn. They
traveled extensively throughout
the world.
In 1980, they retired to Osterville
andjoined the Oyster Harbors and
Wianno yacht clubs. She became
an avid golfer and bridge player.
She loved the Red Sox, Patriots
and Celtics and had a passion for
The New York Times crossword
puzzles.
Survivors include three children,
James A. Jones III of Manakin
Sabot, Va., Susan E. Whiteman of
Washington, D.C., and Jonathan R.
Jones of Stonington, Conn.; and
seven grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at
Our Lady of Assumption Church
in Osterville, followed by burial in
Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.

Betty (Westgate) Mal-
loch, 53, died March 13, 2006, at her
home after an illness with cancer.
She was the wife of Martin A.
Malloch.
Mrs. Malloch was born in Ware-
ham and lived in Marion before
movingto Hyannismanyyears ago.
She graduated from Old Rochester
Regional High School in Mattapoi-
sett in 1970.
She worked at Star Market in
Hyannis and was previously a
dietary aide at Tobey Hospital in
Wareham.
She enjoyed needlepoint, plastic
canvas work, traveling, crossword
puzzles and game shows.
Besides her husband, survivors
include abrother, Robert Westgate
ofMissouri;two sisters, SusanWest-
gate of Marion and Bonnie Baker
of Wareham; her stepmother, Ina
Westgate of Marion; a niece; and
a nephew.
A funeral was held at Chapman,
Cole & Gleason Funeral Home in
Wareham, with burial in Agawam
Cemetery there.
Robert H. Jones, 84
Hyannis - Robert Hathaway
Jones, 84, died March 16, 2006, at
his home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Regina
(Cross) Jones. They were married
in December 1945.
Mr. Jones was born, raised and
educated in Hyannis. He served
in the Navy during World War II,
primarily in the South Pacific on
the submarine chaser USSYP-415.
He was discharged with distinction
in 1945.
He owned and operated a televi-
sion and electronics repair business
for more than 30 years.
Besides hiswife, survivorsinclude
a son, Robert H. Jones Jr.; two
daughters, Melodie J. Beveridge
and Lizanne J. Croft; three grand-
children; and a great-grandchild.
Burialwas at Oak Neck Cemetery
in Hyannis. A memorial service will

Hernando, Fla. - Leonard David
Maza Jr., 56, died March 9, 2006,
at Hospice of Citrus County in
Inverness, Fla.
Mr. Maza was born in Hyannis.
He was a Coast Guard veteran, a
carpenter and avid waterman. He
moved to Hernando from Hyannis
four years ago.
Survivors include his father,
Leonard D. Maza Sr. of Hernando;
a sister, Mary L. Zappulla of Wil-
liamsburg, Va.; two nieces; and
three grand-nieces and one grand-
nephew.
A combined graveside service also
honoring his late mother, Jocelyn
M. Maza, willbe held at 2 p.m. April
19at Evergreen Cemetery in North
Eastham.

at Cape Regency Nursing Home in
Centerville after a long illness.
She was the wife of Lorrin Mal-
colmPittendreigh,who died in 1988.
They were married for 49 years.
Mrs. Pittendreigh was born and
raised in Marstons Mills and at-
tended Barnstable High School
and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial
School in Boston.
She and her husband loved to
travel, gosquare dancingand spend
time with friends and family.
She loved the outdoors and was
an avid gardener. She was also a
member of Eastern Star on Cape
Cod.
Survivorsinclude a son, L.Thom-
as Pittendreigh of East Haddam,
Conn.; two daughters, Jane Smith
and Lori Ciran, both of Marstons
Mills; six grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.

Lewis A. Psarocosta
Hy annis - Lewis A. Psarocosta
died March 12, 2006, at Cape Cod
Hospital.
He was the husband of Gloria
(Weeden) Psarocosta, who died
last year.
Mr. Psarocosta was born, raised
and educated in Fitchburg.
He worked for Sears & Roebuck
for many years.
Survivors include a daughter,
Betsy A. Psarocosta of Hyannis;
and a stepson, David Thompson
of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Nicholas J. Russo II, 57
Osterville - Nicholas Joseph Russo
II, 57, died Feb. 22, 2006, at his home
after a 15-year illness.
He was the husband of Catherine
E. (Lang) Russo for more than 32
years.
Mr. Russo was born in Hartford ,
Conn.He attended Renbrook School
in West Hartford , Conn., and the
Westminster School in Simsbury,
Conn., where he was a prefect and
member of the undefeated 1965
football team.
He received abachelor'sdegree in
psychology in 1971, and a master's
degree in experimental psychology
in 1975, from the University of Ver-
mont. In 1978, he earned a master's
of business administrationin finance
from Babson College.
From 1978 to 1983, Mr. Russo
was vice president of planning and
analysis at Heublein Inc. in Hart-
ford. From 1983 to 1986, he was vice
president and controller at Ensign-
Bickford Industries in Simsbury.He
then became a controller for Travel-
ers Insurance Co. in Connecticut,
where he remained until moving to
Osterville in 1988. He became presi-
dent and chief executive officer of
Sentinel Foam and Envelope Corp.,
in Hyannis, until 1991.
Mr. Russo was a member of both
the Financial Executives Institute
and the executive committee of the
Alumni Association for his class at
the WestminsterSchool. He was also
amember ofanumber ofrecreational
clubs, including the Oyster Harbors
Club,Beach Club and Wianno Yacht
Club.He enjoyed skiingand spending
time with his children.
Besides hiswife, survivors include
two children, Nicholas J. Russo III
of Manhattan and Jennifer E. Russo
of Osterville; and three brothers ,
Joseph, Daniel and Frank Russo.

Irene Margaret Spence, 80
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea , Fla. ¦
Irene Margaret Spence, 80, died
March 12, 2006.
She was the wife of the late W
Frederick Spence.
Mrs. Spence was a flight atten-
dant for American Airlines. She
lived in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
for 48 years and spent summers in
Osterville.
She was a member of St. Mark's
Episcopal Church in Fort Lauder-
dale; St. Peter's Episcopal Church
in Osterville, as well as its women's
altar guild and memorial garden
committee; Holy Cross Hospital
Women's Auxiliary; Coral Ridge
Country Club; and The Beach Club
in Centerville.
Survivorsinclude adaughter, Su-
zanne Spence Minshallof Washing-
ton,D.C.; three sons, John Thomas
Spence of Vermont, James Andrew
Spence of Massachusetts and Ste-

Turner, 100, died March 15, 2006, at
her home.
Ms. Turner was born in New York
and was abank clerk for the Federal
Reserve Bank in New York City.She
also worked as a dietician at New
England Deaconness Hospital in
Boston.
In 1971, she moved to Cotuit.
She loved to travel.
Survivors include aniece; and two
nephews.
Armando L. Vicente, 77
Osterville - Armando L. Vicente,
77, a longtime Osterville resident,
died March 11, 2006, at his home.
He was the husband of Maria G.
(Gomes) for 51 years.
Mr. Vicente served in the Army
during the Korean War.
He was a carpenter for manyyears
withseveral companieson Cape Cod.
He loved sports and gardening.
Besides hiswife, survivors include
four sons, Richard, Armando Jr.,
Albert and Amancio Vicente, all of
Osterville; two brothers, Napoleao
Vicente and Daniel Rodreques ,
both of Pawtucket, R.I.; nine grand-
children; and many nieces and
nephews.
He was also the father of the late
Steven Vicente.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at
Our Lady of Assumption Church in
Osterville. Burial was in Mosswood
Cemetery in Cotuit.

Claire L. Warren
West Barnstable - Claire L. War-
ren died March 9, 2006, after a
long illness.
She was the wife of the Rev. Ken-
neth R. Warren since 1953.
Mrs. Warrenwas born in Dorches-
ter. Her family moved to Hingham,
where shewaseducated inHingham
public schools. She was graduated
from the Vesper George School of
Art in Boston and worked as an
artist with the Rust Craft Greeting
Card Co. in Boston.
After their marriage, the War-
rens moved to Cape Cod, where
he served the Unitarian Church
of Barntable and the Universalist
Church of Yarmouth. In 1968, the
churches merged to create the
Unitarian Universalist Church in
Barnstable.
Mrs.Warrenwasanactive member
of the Flower Guild Alliance, alead-
er of the Lothrop Guild for young
people, and helped in the founding
and work of the Kit'n'Kaboodle
consignment shop, Boutique group
and other fund-raising ventures.
She worked in adult religious
education classes and assisted in
the organization of the Unitarian
Fellowship of Falmouth. After her
husband became an interim pastor,
she accompanied himto ministerto
congregations in Canton, Sharon,
Dorchester, Assinippi and Vineyard
Haven, while still maintaining the
couple 's home in Barnstable.
She was a member of the Vil-
lage Crafters, and sold her stained
glass work at craft fairs. She was
a member of many community
organizations, including Cape Cod
Hospital Auxiliary, the garden
clubs of Barnstable and Hyannis,
Tales of Cape Cod, the Barnstable
Historical Society, Friends of the
Sturgis Library, and Barnstable
Land Trust. She was a leader for
the Girl Scouts.
Mrs. Warren participated in ac-
tivities promoting causes of peace
and justice.
Besides her husband, survivors
include a daughter,Mary-Elizabeth
Brague of Mansfield; and two grand-
daughters.
A memorial service will be held
at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Unitarian
Universalist Church on Route 6A in
Barnstable.
