New hours at Maritime
Museum
The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 135
South Street in Hyannis, is open Thursday
through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. A new
exhibit, For Those in Peril on the Sea, is
on display as well as the ongoing con-
struction of a replica of the 1886 Crosby
Catboat, Sarah. Admission is free to $5.
Acting and singing class
The Cape Cod Conservatory in
Barnstable offers an acting/singing
class Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. begin-
ning March 18. Open to all ages and

Poets wanted for contest
The Veterans For Peace are sponsor-
ing a poetry contest to celebrate Peace
Week, April 16 through 22. Poets of all
ages are invited to submit one original
poem on peace of no more than 50 lines

Poetry and music combo plate
Eventide Arts and Dragonfly join
forces March 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m.
to present an evening of poetry and
music at the Gertrude Lawrence Stage

Giant yard sale
There will be a yard sale to benefit
the Historical Soceity of Old Yarmouth
March 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at
the Yarmouth Senior Center, Forest
Road in South Yarmouth. The public
is invited to donate their treasures or
rent a table for $25 to sell their own
belongings.
Lenten fish fry
The American Legion Post 188 at 20
Main Street in Sandwich hosts Firday
night fish fries over the course of Lent.
All are welcome for swordfish tips,
clam chowder, fish and chips, chicken,
and more between 5 and 7 p.m.

The 3rd annual Spring is in the Air
fundraising benefit for the Sampson Fund
for Veterinary Care is held March 19 from
3 to 6 p.m. at the Wayside Inn, Main
Street in Chatham. Live and silent auc-
tion of handpainted bird houses, quilts,
wood carvings, and other items on the
block. Entrance fee of $20 includes hors
d'oeuvres and paddle. Cash bar.

The Boys & Girls Club in Mashpee is

p.m. Teen nights are held each Wednesday

during vacation weeks. Offerings include
