NEW HOURS ATMARITIME MUSEUM-The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 135 South Street in Hyannis, is now open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. A new exhibit, For Those in Peril on the Sea, is on display as well as the ongoing construction of a replica of the 1886 Crosby Catboat , Sarah. Admission is free to $5. Take the Hyannis-JFK family compound walk Walk Hyannis and enjoy ocean views on a 10K jaunt be- ginning at the Heritage House Hotel, 259 Main St. in Hyannis. Walk sponsored by the Walk 'n Mass Volkssport Club. Start times are daily sunrise to sun- set. Information: 508-775-7000. The Garden Club of Hyannis The Garden Club of Hyannis (GCFM-NGC) meets the third Tuesday of the month at the Fed- erated Church of Hyannis, 320 .Main St., at noon. The public is welcome for a small donation. Weekly films and food The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St. in Hyannis, has screenings of popular films every Tuesday evening. Food and drink samples related to the film are served on the side at 7 p.m. The screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Ad- mission for the package is $15 or you can order off the menu. Swing to the action at the Island Merchant Saturdays at The Island Mer- chant, 10 Ocean St. in Hyannis, feature either a DJ or an '80s theme; call for schedule. Every Wednesday is Open Mic Night at 9:30 and Thursdays there is jazz piano with Mike Brooke from 8 to 10 p.m. Corned beef dinner and Irish cheer with Teddy Casey and his Naughty Guitar. Join the sing-a-long. There's a Soul Sonic Party March 18 at 9:30 p.m. and on March 25 join the gang for a night of poetry and an open mic followed by Jason Valcourt playing acoustic blues and reggae. HannaH Fusion Bar and Bistro The bar and bistro at 615 Main St. in Hyannis offers live entertainment. Acoustics with Syndicate is up on Fridays, Mark Henessey on Saturdays and the Simpson Brothers on Sundays. Music at the Blue Anchor The Blue Anchor Cafe and Sushi Bar, 453 Main St. in Hyannis, has karaoke on Sunday and Monday with Jeff & Kathy. Friday and Saturday night DJ Cizzle spins a mix of tunes. Entertainment's on tap at British Beer Company The British Beer Company, 412 Main St. in Hyannis, has live entertainment. All shows begin at 9 p.m. Five to the Face is up on March 18. Syndicate plays March 19, 23, 26 and 30, and on March 24 Stomp 86 is up. Resonance plays March 26 and on March 31 3rd Left is on stagle. Tunes at the RooBar The RooBar Restaurant , 586 Main St. in Hyannis, has en- tertainment nightly, Thursdays through Sundays. Live entertainment on Main Street Chauncy's Restaurant and Lounge at Heritage Hotel on Main Street features live enter- tainment every weekend with complimentary hors d'oeuvres from 5 to 7 p.m. Call 508-833- 0087. Grille 16 Every Friday night at 8:30 p.m. Mark Hennessy & the Slackers are up at Grille 16 on Main Street in Hyannis. Jack Leyden and Accent perform on Saturday nights. Cape Cod Maritime lecture series Kenneth Kinkor, historian, author and pirate expert, shares tales of the Cape's maritime past March 22 at 7 p.m. at the Cape Cod Maritime Msueum, 135 South Street in Hyannis. CIGSYA activities The Cape & Islands Gay & Straight Youth Alliance has a dance room, cyber center, li- brary, TV room and game room as well as other programs and activities. There are monthly dances, movie nights, pot-luck dinners, tutoring and mentor- ing. CIGSYA is located at 56 Barnstable Road in Hyannis and serves people 22 and under. Circle for Youth meets from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays at the club house. Activities include creative writing, visual art, dance, theater and more. Cape Cod Art Association members art show Cape Cod Art Association is hosting its second Artist Members Show for 2006 through April 3 at its galleries at 3480 Route 6A in Barnstable Village.
