The screen- ings are on Tuesdays through May 9, with a break on March 14. Born Into Brothels , an intimate look into the brothels of Calcutta, as seen through the eyes of the children, plays March 7. Woods Hole film fest Films from the Woods Hole Film Festival will be featured in a series of dinners and screenings this winter at Cap'n Kidd's restaurant in Woods Hole. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. with the film shown at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $25 per person and includes dinner and the movies, which play March 4 and 18; April 1, 15 and 29; and May 6 and 20. For reservations, call 508-548-8563. Weekly films and food The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St. in Hyannis, has screenings of popular films every Tuesday evening. Food and drink samples related to the film are served on the side at 7 p.m. The screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Admis- sion for the package is $15 or you can order off the menu. ife MUSIC: Getting dangerous The Cape's Most Dangerous Band competition begins this evening at Sundancers in West Dennis. Fifteen local cover bands are competing for the title, performing three a night for the next six weeks, with the finals scheduled for April 14. The contest is sponsored by radio station Pixy 103. Hear the sounds of Brazil From Villa-Lobos to Jobim and be- yond, the Chatham Chorale will pres- ent the music of Brazil March 4 at 8 p.m. and March 5 at 3 p.m. at the Mattacheese Middle School in West Yarmouth. Performers will include a Brazilian dance band from Boston and dancers from Dennis-Yarmouth High School. For tickets ($25 and $22), call 888-556-2707 (students 18 and under can request free tickets). Paddy Reilly in Concert Paddy Reilly will be in concert at the Cape Cod Irish Village in West Yarmouth, March 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the troops in Iraq. Grand Cru Wine Bar jazz nights The Grand Cru Wine Bar at The Cape Codder Resort & Spa, Route 132 in Hyannis, hosts jazz nights weekly. See the Rick Costa Trio Fri- day evening this week and Ann Aus- tin Saturday. Next weekend features Greg Hopkins both nights Swing to the action at the Island Merchant Saturdays at The Island Merchant, 10 Ocean St. in Hyannis, feature either a DJ or an '80s theme; call for schedule. Music at the Blue Anchor The Blue Anchor Cafe and Sushi Bar, 453 Main St. in Hyannis, has karaoke on Sunday and Monday with Jeff & Kathy. Friday and Satur- day night DJ Cizzle spins a mix of tunes. Tunes at the RooBar The RooBar Restaurant, 586 Main St. in Hyannis, has entertainment nightly, Thursdays through Sundays. Live entertainment on Main Street Chauncy's Restaurant and Lounge at Heritage Hotel on Main Street features live entertainment every weekend with complimentary hors d'oeuvres from 5 to 7 p.m. Call 508- 833-0087. Grille 16 Every Friday night at 8:30 p.m. Mark Hennessy & the Slackers are up at Grille 16 on Main Street in Hyannis. Jack Leyden and Accent perform on Saturday nights. There are wine tastings every Friday night from 5 to 6:30.
