Approach March 7 and 8 With Care The annual meeting of the Town of Barnstable is assuming unusual importance this year, and the annual town elections u puzzle. In certain of the offices to be filled, who the win- ning candidates will be is a foregone conclusion. In the office of selectman, this cannot be said. It behooves every voter to examine carefully the records of the various candidates and to search his own requirements as to a selectman , and to vote for that man who. best fits the standai'ds he as a voter sets.' It is not a light matter to select the man who shall be one one of three to manage our town. It is imperative that we have the best possible. The man we select for the post is to hold the highest office in the power of his fellow townsmen to besttow. Let us make that choice a wise one, a conscientious one, the right one. Note the meaning of selectman, as the selected man. At the town meeting the voters have in their hands the de- cision about making large appropriations , the purposes of which are made known in Fifth, Klchard Keuyon; Sixth, Frederick Gasket!; Seventh, George O'Brien.
