Flora G. Carter-Conway, 62
Hyannis - Flora G. (Lilly) Carter-
Conway, 62, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006
after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Brian J. Conway.
Mrs. Carter-Conway was born and
raised in Clear Creek, W. Va. She was
an avid reader of science fiction novels
and had an extensive library.
She loved bluegrass and country
music, and her dog, Mathis.
Besides her husband , survivors in-
clude two daughters, Shannon and Ra-
chael Daley; abrother,JoelLilly;asister,
Jean Smalldone; three grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a
later date.
Janet Crosby
Abington - Janet (Lyon) Crosby
died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006.
She was the wife of George W.
Crosby for 58 years.
Mrs. Crosby was born in Quincy,
graduated from QuincyHigh School
in 1939 and attended Pierce Secre-
tarial School.
Before marrying, she worked for
American Airlines.
She was a lifelong resident of
Abington, summered in Mashpee
and enjoyed winters skiing in New
Hampshire.
Sheloved spending timewithher
family and friends. She was amem-
ber of Daughters of the American
Revolution and a longtime volun-
teer for South Shore Hospital.
Besides her husband, survivors
include three children, Bradford
Lyon Crosby of Sandwich, Joan
Crosby Pastuszak of Hingham and
Melissa Crosby Boyajian ofHanson;
and six grandchildren.
A service was held Saturday at
United Church of Christ in Abing-
ton. Burial will be at a later date in
Massachusetts National Cemetery,
Bourne.

Jacquelynn Davis Cyrus, 78
Palm Springs , Calif. -Jacquelynn
Davis Cyrus, 78, died Feb. 3, 2006
after a long illness.
Ms. Cyrus was born in Summit,
N.J., and lived for many years in
Osterville.
She was a hospital operating
technician for 20 years as well as a
private duty nurse while living in
Palm Springs.
Survivors include a son, Robert
J. Bryan of Hyannis; two sisters; a
brother; and a granddaughter.
A memorial service was held Feb.
10, 2006 in Palm Springs.

Robert M. D'Ambrosia, 71
Centerville - Robert Myron
D'Ambrosia , 71, died Thursday,
Feb. 16, 2006 after a long illness.
He was the husband of Joan
(Driscoll) D'Ambrosia for 47 years.
Mr. D'Ambrosia was born in
Weymouth and graduated from
Weymouth High School, where he
was an outstanding athlete , playing
both baseball and basketball. He was
inducted into the Weymouth High
School Hall of Fame in 2002.
He coached hischildren'sbaseball
and basketball teams for 20 years.
He graduated from Boston Uni-
versity in 1960 and was an Air Force
veteran of the Korean War.
Retired after 28yearswith Honey-
well-Bull as its director of finance,
he also worked as the controller
for Sea Crest Resort in North
Falmouth. He served on the board
of directors for the Centerville
Public Library.
Besideshiswife,survivorsinclude
a daughter, Lisa Marie Codair of
Bedford , N.H.; four sons, Kenneth
Robert D'Ambrosia of Merrimac,
David Scott D'Ambrosia of Ramo-
na,Calif.,Jack D'AmbrosiaofScitu-
ate,and CraigMichael D'Ambrosia
of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday
in Our Lady of Victory Church in

Hyannis - Edward J. Daniels, 86,
died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 at Cape Re-
gency Rehabilitation &NursingCenter,
Centerville.
He was born and educated in Bir-
mingham,Ala.,and graduated from Fisk
University in Nashville, Tenn.
After servinginthe SouthPacificwith
theArmyduringWorldWarn,heworked
for the VeteransAdministration in New
York City for four years.
Hemovedto CapeCodin 1979andbe-
came a member of Zion Union Church.
He enjoyed playing cards with his
sisters, listening to music and going to
the movies.
Survivorsincludeasister,BeverlyRice
of North Carolina.
Burial was in Marstons Mills Cem-
etery.

Nancy Demarest, 76
West Yarmouth -Nancy (Ramey)
Demarest,76, died Sunday, Feb. 12.
2006 at Windsor Nursing Home in
South Yarmouth.
Born in New Brunswick, N.J.,
she was a graduate of Duke Uni-
versity.
She worked for many years as a
chemist for the National Institutes
of Health and for the University of
Maryland. She moved to Provinc-
etown in 1974 and for many years
operated a rooming house there.
She had also lived in Truro,
Hyannis and most recentlyin West
Yarmouth.She did volunteer work
at the Greenery in Hyannis.
Survivors include a son, Allen
Wastler of Bloomfield, N.J.; a sis-
ter, Jane Withers of White Sulfer
Springs; and two grandchildren.
Services were private.
Elvira DeMarzo, 87
Hyannisport - Elvira DeMarzo,
87, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006 at
her home.
She was the wife of Michael De-
Marzo, who died in 2004.
Mrs. DeMarzo was born in Bos-
ton and raised in Somerville. She
was a 1937 graduate of Somerville
High School.
During World War II, she worked
at the Submarine Signal Company
in the North End of Boston.
Later, she was the chief recep-
tionist for Gillette Razor Co., for
nearly 25 years.
In 1976, she and her husband
retired to South Plymouth. She
lived in Hyannisport for the last
four years.
The second youngest of 10 chil-
dren, she greatly enjoyed recalling
and relating the events of Me in a
large family. She took her role as
keeper ofthe family history very se-
riously and passed onmany stories
i to her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two sisters,
Maria (Corricelli) Morbi of Maiden
and Licia (Corricelli) DeBellis of
South Plymouth; a brother, Albert
CorricelliofNorth Manchester,Ind.;
and many nieces and nephews.

Norman Leslie Drew, 87
Clinton, Conn. - Norman Leslie
Drew, 87, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006.
He was the husband of Marilyn
j Bosworth Drew, who died in 1983.
! They were married for 41 years.
He was born in Stoneham and
i raised in Hyannis. He graduated
from BarnstableHighSchool,where
) he was active in sports and named
as anAll-Capebasketball and foot-
ball player. He attended Hyannis
: Teachers College and taught briefly
I at Morgan High School in Clinton,
Conn., in 1941, before joining the
Army, where he served as a first
lieutenantwithanti-aircraft groups
in the United States and Europe.
Mr. Drew returned to Clinton,
where he taught and spent the rest
of hislife. From 1946into the 1960s,
he brought manybasketball teams
to Morgan High, winning many
championships. Hewasavestryman
and Sunday schoolteacher at Holy
Advent Church, aMaster of Joptha
Lodge 95, and a representative of
the Interscholastic Athletic Asso-
ciation. He never lost his love for
Cape Cod, spending 10summersin
Woods Hole and visitingas often as
possible over the years.
Survivors include three daugh-
i ters,Meredith Graffis ,Pamela Otto
and Leslie Harrington; and four
grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at
First Church of Christ (Congrega-
tional) in Clinton.

I Wesley M. Famigliette, 24
Hyannis - Wesley Michael Fami-
gliette, 24, died Sunday, Feb. 12,
j 2006 at Cape CodHospital,Hyannis,
after a car accident.
He was educated in Barnstable,
graduatedfrom Cape Cod Regional
Technical High School in 1999 and
. attended Golden West College in
HuntingtonBeach, Calif., for three
years.
He was recently employed at
North East Custom Cabinetry.
An avid sports fan, he partici-
pated in many sports including
disc, rollerblading, basketball ,
I snowboarding, golf and softball. He
; loved to dance and wasoften known
as "the life of the party."
He was known for his outgoing
and humorous personality,helping
others, and the unique nicknames
he gave to family members and
friends.
He loved spending time with
family and friends and enjoyed
cooking and entertainingfor them.
He also loved babies and children
and dreamed of having a family of
his own.
He was very proud of his Italian
heritage.
Survivors include his parents,
Gary and Lori Famigliette; two
brothers, Nick and Garrett; a sis-
ter, Francesca "Cheesecake"; and
his maternal grandmother, Diane
Gelanian.
A funeral was held at The Fed-
erated Church of Hyannis. Burial
was private.

Albert L. Grace, 94
Centerville -Albert L. Grace,94,
died Monday,Feb. 13,2006 at Cape
Regency Rehabilitation &Nursing
Center.

Mr. Grace was born in Wareham
and lived in West Hyannisport for
more than 50 years. A World WarII
veteran, he served with the Army
in the European theater.

worked as a carpenter.
He was amember of the Hyannis
Community Center and the Coast
Guard Auxiliary. He also sang in
the choir of the Federated Church
andloved fishing and spendingtime
with his grandchildren.

Cotuit, Joseph Grace of Hyannis
and Neil Uhlman and Warren Uhl-
man, both of Marstons Mills; 21
grandchildren; and many great-
grandchildren.

etery, Hyannis.
Ralph Jenneman, 84
Hy annis - Ralph Jenneman, 84,
died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 at Nor-
wood Hospital.
He was the husband of the late
Betty (Greenwood) Jenneman.
They were married for 52 years.
Born in Cincinnati, Mr.Jenneman
enteredtheU.S.ArmyonAug.13,1942
and was discharged Jan. 9, 1946.
He served in the Pacific Theatre
and was awarded the Asiatic Pa-
cific Theatre Campaign Ribbon
with Bronze Service Arrowhead,
American Theatre Campaign Rib-
bon, Good Conduct Medal and the
Philippine Liberation Ribbon with
Bronze Service Star.
He went to work for General Mo-
torsin 1947,retiring31yearslater as
an inspector from General Motors
in Framingham.
Mr. Jenneman was a resident of
Ashland for 28 years and moved to
Cape Cod in 1980. He was a mem-
ber of the VFW in Ashland and a
member of the General Motors
Golf League.
He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Surviving are three daughters,
Carole Ruskey of Norton, Susan
Cardellicchio of Framingham and
Bette Blackwell of Bridgeport ,
Conn.; three grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
Burial wasinMassachusetts Na-
tional Cemetery in Bourne.

Frederick G. Knowles, 93
Hyannis -Frederick G.Knowles,
93, died Feb. 8, 2006 at JML Care
Center in Falmouth.
He was the husband of Elizabeth
M. (Graves) Knowlesfor more than
66 years.
Mr. Knowles was born in Holy-
oke. A World War II Army veteran,
he served in active combat in the
Philippines. After the war, he lived
in Pelham until 1998, when he
moved to Falmouth.He had moved
recently lived in Hyannis.
He graduated from Stockbridge
at the University ofMassachusetts,
andhe and hiswife owned Knowles
Flower Shop in Amherst for more
than20years.He wasan avid golfer
and gardener, an active Rotarian, '
and a past master of the Pacific
Lodge of Amherst. He was a mem-
ber of the Waquoit Congregational
Church.
Besides his wife, survivors in-
clude a daughter, Judi Heard of
Falmouth.
Beverly J. Maguire, 71

Maguire,71,died at CapeCod Hos-
pital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Maguire was the wife of the
late Richard J. Maguire.
Sheenjoyed gardeningandspend-
ing time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter,
Rachel MaguireCollof California; a
son,RichardMaguireofCenterville;
abrother, Ronald Camireof Salem;
and four grandchildren, Jack and
Nina Maguire of Centerville, and
Mae and Liam Coll of California.

moved to Harwich where she lived
until she retired.

Academy. He also attended Tufts

degree from Georgia Tech.
He served four years in the Army's
YankeeDivision during World War II.
In 1947, he moved to Osterville

retiring from Fuller Electric.
He enjoyed antique cars and
tellingjokes.
Survivors include three daugh-
ters, Mary Donnelly of Littleton,
Janet Barattini of Osterville and
Sue Raymond-Lew of East Bridge-
water; and nine grandchildren.

Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 at his home.
He was the husband of Bonny
(Bishop) Ross.
Mr. Ross was born in East Haven,
Conn, and moved to Hyannis in 1963.
He was a graduate of Barnstable
High School, where he played soccer.
He worked as a commercial fisher-
man for 30 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors
include his sons, Christopher Ross of
Centerville and Cody RossofWarwick,
R.I.; his daughters, Colleen Ross of
Centerville and Melissa Richard of
Clarksville, Tenn.; his father, Raoul
D. Ross of Hyannis; his sisters, Jes-
sica Roy of Spofford, N.H., and Susan
Caprio of Fairfield, Conn.; and agrand-
daughter.

81, formerly of Osterville, died Fri-

with Alzheimer's disease.
He was the husband of Beverly
(Hamlin) Smith for 58 years.
Mr. Smith was born in Bingham-
ton and attended Binghamton
Central High School. In 1947 he
earned a bachelor's degree in civil
engineeringfrom CornellUniversity,
where he was a member of Beta
Theta Pi fraternity and captain of
the tennis team.
He was president and chief ex-
ecutive officer of Vincent J. Smith
Inc., a family corporation provid-
ing contracting services to many
clientsincluding General Electric,
IBM, colleges and governmental
facihties from 1937to 1983.He was
president ofboth AssociatedBuild-
ing Contractors of the Triple Cities
and General Building Contractors
of New York State, vice chairman
of the United Way of Broome
County, president of Binghamton
Country Club, trustee and direc-
tor of Binghamton Savings Bank
and associated with many other
organizations.
After retiring he wintered in
Boynton Beach, Fla., and sum-
mered in Osterville,wherehe wasa
memberofOysterHarbors Club.He
loved tennis and golf,winningclub
championships in each game, and
also enjoyed time with Ms family.
