Museum of Art
Fall classes and workshops for kids
include comic book design, drawing,
fun with clay, ocean art, watercolor,
monster making, art club and more
at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in
Dennis. Adult studio classes include
white line printmaking. 3-D assem-
blage, stained glass, composition
and color harmony painting, basic
drawing, enameling, and more. Paul
Schulenburg and John Grillo exhibit
through Feb. 26 in celebration of the
museum 's 25th anniversary. Roberta
Hurlburt exhibits assemblages of
found art through March 19. Jane
Lincoln displays her cranberry bog
paintings through Feb. 19. Prints
by Will Barnet can be seen through

museum's 25th anniversary, there will
be free admission through Feb. 12
as well as chances to win a prize at
a Valentine's Day drawing. A trip to
Newport to visit the National Museum
of American Illustration, The Break-
ers Mansion with lunch at The Clarke
Cooke House, is scheduled for May
11 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. $120 for
members, $135 for non-members.
Registration deadline is April 28. The
museum is closed Mondays through
May 22.

Genealogical society
meeting
Members of the Cape Cod Ge-

Camera club at art
association
The Cape Cod Art Association,
Route 6A in Barnstable, now has a
camera club. Meetings are at 7 p.m.
every other Thursday at the CCAA
when there will be guest speakers,
critiques, contests, workshops, photo

Group for youths
The Barnstable Youth Commission
and its Youth Empowered Through
Learning Leadership advisory
group meet at 2 p.m. every first

Barnstable High School when ages
13 through 19 are invited to discuss
issues affecting the young people of

German-American Club
members meet
Members of the German-Ameri-
can Club generally meet the second
Saturday at the Fraternal Lodge

Club meetings
The Barnstable Newcomers Club
welcomes all Barnstable residents

Contradances in Cotuit
A Contradance is held the second

Ten scholarships totaling $10,500

Check out foreign films this winter

Woods Hole film fest
Films from the Woods Hole Film
Festival will be featured in a series
of dinners and screenings this winter
at Cap'n Kidd's restaurant in Woods
Hole. Dinner is served from 5:30 to
7:15 p.m. with the film shown at 7:30
p.m. Admission is $25 per person
and includes dinner and the movie.
