A reception to meet the artist is Feb. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. Art for giving Art classes offered at the Art For Giving Gallery in Mashpee Commons include papermaking, bookmaking, tile-making, pastel painting and more. Locals exhibit in Yarmouthport Betty Manley, Charlotte Shaw and Carol Burns exhibit at the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank on Route 6A in Yarmouthport through Feb. 22. New at Cape Cod Museum of Art Fall classes and workshops for kids include comic book design, drawing, fun with clay, ocean art, watercolor, monster making, art club and more at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. Adult studio classes include white line printmaking. 3-D assem- blage, stained glass, composition and color harmony painting, basic drawing, enameling, and more. Paul Schulenburg and John Grillo exhibit through Feb. 26 in celebration of the museum 's 25th anniversary. Roberta Hurlburt exhibits assemblages of found art through March 19. To help celebrate the museum's 25th anniversary, there will be free admission through Feb. 12 as well as chances to win a prize at a Valentine's Day drawing. A trip to Newport to visit the National Museum of American Illustration, The Break- ers Mansion with lunch at The Clarke Cooke House, is scheduled for May 11 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. $120 for members, $135 for non-members. Registration deadline is April 28. The museum is closed Mondays through May 22. Genealogical society meeting Members of the Cape Cod Ge- nealogical Society meet Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Brewster Ladies' Library, Route 6A, when special interest groups discuss international research. They meet again Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Dennis Public Library when historian Burt Derick discusses the library's resources. Sponsored by the Dennis Historical Society. Camera club at art association The Cape Cod Art Association, Route 6A in Barnstable, now has a camera club. Meetings are at 7 p.m. every other Thursday at the CCAA when there will be guest speakers, critiques, contests, workshops, photo sessions and more. Group for youths The Barnstable Youth Commission and its Youth Empowered Through Learning Leadership advisory group meet at 2 p.m. every first and third Thursday in room 2108 at Barnstable High School when ages 13 through 19 are invited to discuss issues affecting the young people of Barnstable. German-American Club members meet Members of the German-Ameri- can Club generally meet the second Saturday at the Fraternal Lodge in Centerville. New members are welcome. Woods Hole film fest Films from the Woods Hole Film Festival will be featured in a series of dinners and screenings this winter at Cap'n Kidd's restaurant in Woods Hole.
