CIGSYA activities
The Cape & Islands Gay & Straight
Youth Alliance has a dance room, cy-
ber center, library, TV room and game
room as well as other programs and
activities. There are monthly dances,
movie nights, pot-luck dinners, tutor-
ing and mentoring. CIGSYA is located
at 56 Barnstable Road in Hyannis
and serves people 22 and under.
Circle for Youth meets from 3 to 5:30
p.m. on Mondays at the club house.
Activities include creative writing,
visual art, dance, theater and more.
A New Year's Eve dance is held Jan.
27 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. DJ Joe spins
the tunes.
Dance programs in West
Barnstable
The Cape Cod Conservatory on
Route 132 in Barnstable is offering
ballet, tap, jazz and belly dancing for
all ages. Admission is $96 to $200,

Robert Burns dinner and
dance
The Highland Light Scottish So-
ciety holds a Robert Burns Supper
and Dance Jan. 28 to celebrate the
Scottish poet's birthday. Entertain-
ment includes the Highland Light
Scottish Pipe Band, the National
Scottish Fiddle Champion Emerald
Rae, fiddle, accordion and more. A
social hour kicks off things at 6 p.m.
at the Elks Club on Bearses Way in

Cape Cod Pilates, 1336 Main St.
in Osterville, offers a new yogilates

Historical society annual
meeting
The Historical Society of Santuit
and Cotuit holds its annual meet-
ing and election of officers Jan. 29
at 2 p.m. at the Cotuit Library on
Main Street when Seth Mendel is
the featured speaker discussing the
solar salt industry, 1760 to 1865. All
invited.
Singles event for a cause
A pre-Valentine's Day event for
Cape singles is held Feb. 2 at Grille
16, 415 Main St. in Hyannis. Prizes,
appetizers and a cash bar will be on
the agenda. Admission is $20 per
person. Bring a friend of the op-
posite sex for a discount. Proceeds
benefit the fight against Lou Gehrig's
Disease.
Take a spin for the
poochies
Spin your way into a homeless
pet's heart Feb. 4 at Willy's Gym in
Eastham or Orleans or the Women's

The Boys and Girls Club of Cape

The Cape Cod Museum of Art,
